Man, that '90 9-6 loss to Bama was heartbreaking. IIrc, we were going to kick the game winning FG, got it blocked and a couple plays later Bama kicked one to win it. But, what I, also remember is that I watched it with another lifelong friend, Luke, that also died last year. Just crazy, I'm was 47 then and so was he
I was with my uncle, and we hung out with Charles McRae's dad and uncle pre and post game. My unforgettable memory is a Bammer fan with the Tide box and toilet roll. I remember it like it was yesterday.

@hank hill

When you cast shade on ESPN’s FPI rankings in the preseason I dismissed you as a person illiterate in mathematics and statistical analysis. I’m now willing to admit I MAY have been a bit hasty in my judgment of your opinion - but, given this is only week 4, I am, regrettably, not yet ready to apologize.

There are 4 FBS teams (out of the 130 total) located in the indisputably great state of Tennessee. These are how those 4 teams rank after week 4 according to the identified ranking outfit. If by the end of the bowl season this year the mathematics of the ESPN FPI's faith in our team has not been vindicated you may consider this comment as an offer of my apology in advance.

Please don’t compare anyone to Saban

Well if age disqualifies Cut then it’s relevant.

I’d argue what Cut is doing at Duke is at least in the same area code of what Saban is doing at Bama. Both are doing amazing jobs by taking their programs to their ceilings and keeping them there

Saban is on autopilot. He probably will coach at 80, pull top class. It’s ridiculous how all these coaches on that staff leave and nothing changes.
