I don't think I would say any of these players have "regressed" since you have to be pretty productive in the past to regress.

Palmer and Chandler are the only 2 from that list that were previously productive and they are about the same now.

D. Johnson, Ignont, and Locklear are about the same. All 3 have been part time starters this year but need to be better to keep getting playing time.

I think Jackson, Bumphus, Butler and Shamburger have all improved and are getting much more playing time this year.

Reid has also improved from last year but not enough to be productive in SEC games.

JG is the junior that has "regressed" and he is the main reason we are 1-3 instead of 3-1.

There are some here suggesting that Pruitt and staff have caused the roster to "regress". This proves my point that the roster has not regressed.

With the way the last coaching search went I'd say the fans got their 1 and only say on the matter and we're still a miserable lot. With that said, IF Fulmer wanted to hire a Meyer or a Freeze, probably wouldn't hear but a small whimper from a small fraction of the fans. Knowing Fulmer though, he wont hire either of those guys.

If that stays that way they will win 8/9 games

Their qb isn’t good enough to win the east though. I watched all that game last week and dang I didn’t realize how inaccurate he is. Just not a good passer
So what you're saying is that his 2020 Heisman campaign will begin when they play us.

We're going 1-11, aren't we? If we are 1-7 going into the UAB game (and, please, somebody, anybody, explain to me how that won't be the case) we won't have three guys on either side of the ball that give a sh!t about it anymore. And UAB will, rightfully, have every reason to believe they can win the game.

Man, I've got to figure something out.
Have you considered golf, hunting, woodworking, or cattle?

Who really did shoot JR?

We have this reputation at UT of being dysfunctional in the way we manage our affairs. I know our fans had a revolt over a certain candidate for the HC position last go round but we had this reputation long before that happened. The administration and the power boosters are I think where the finger is normally pointed.

Derek Dooley has intimated in the past that he had no choice in the hiring of Sal Sunseri as his defensive coordinator in 2012. I understand that unless you’re the Pirate as a football coach you can’t just come straight out and throw your “employer” under the bus. I have in the past took Dooley’s comments to imply that Sunseri was forced on him by Dave Hart. I’m beginning to think that is not the top of the food chain. Dave Hart may not have had a choice either. (By the way, Dooley’s comments were made in a live stream broadcast he made years after the fact. The host of the broadcast was Clay Travis and I know many here see Clay as somewhat like the Charlie Frost character in the movie 2012).

So now I’m hearing that Jeremy Pruitt was not necessarily Fulmer’s choice to be our HFC this time around. Some people are saying Pruitt was Charlie Anderson’s choice. We are told now by anonymous insiders that Pruitt is “Protected”. Are Fulmer’s hands tied?

Stay tuned.

Since it seems pointless to engage in my usual graphic comments regarding the impending success of our football program I am presently relegated to recapping shows like Big Orange Sunday, Big Orange Hotline, Vol Calls, and spending much of the rest of my time trying to uncover the mystery players behind the demise of our football program, a.k.a. Who really did shoot JR?

To be continued.....

I can tell you right now that is not the case. Hart did not force the Sunseri hire.

I met one of you lovely people in Florence, AL on Sundee. Didn't catch what your name was on the page.

If you see this, let me know!

Missouri is currently 6th in the country in total defense and and 1st in The SEC
Also lost to Wyoming in Year 4 giving up 37 points.

31 ppg Y1
32 ppg y2
26 ppg y3

That's 2 awful defenses and 1 average. Maybe better this year, who knows? But only because he's had 4 years.

His offense is good because they have a good system and have had QBs. Don't see why we can't copy their offense and just recruit to it.

He literally said “ready to move on” lol but I do think Bituli can get drafted, just not very early and it would help his draft stock to come back. By all means we could definitely benefit from him sticking around another year

Most SRs are ready to move on to the next phase of their life. I wasn't insinuating he wasn't bought-in. But he's been injured and I'm sure he'd like to get paid without risking further injury.

We pin our hopes on Bailey coming in bc it’s the most important and impactful position on the field. We would be 3-1 with average QB play. So we don’t need Bailey to set records, just be average, learn the game, progress. We haven’t seen that from a QB since Dobbs.

There are some here suggesting that Pruitt and staff have caused the roster to "regress". This proves my point that the roster has not regressed.
The fact is we haven't seen any progress as a team. If we had lost a ton, I would understand. But this was the perfect storm of going from year 1 to year 2 with a ton of returning players. Should have seen some progress and yet we are worse as a team. 2018 UT at least beats Ga St. Probably BYU. Only lost to FL due to a huge TO margin. This team got beat in almost every way and was only -1 in TO margin.
