How can you trot JG out there at this point? I know the coaches says he’s the best in practice, but this is 3 years of the same game day results with JG at the helm. He’s toast and mentally he’s checked out for good.

IDK. He is so easy to gameplan against. At least Maurer is a wildcard and can give them something to worry about. They have two weeks to get Maurer and the offense ready. Unfair to judge his performance in the swamp . Tailor the gameplan to his strengths and see if he can shake things up.

His career average in highchool was 2.1 yards a carry on 251 rushes. Only thing I can think is that JG met the baseline of rushing yards needed to be considered a dual threat QB. Anybody with a brain can see that wasn’t the case though.

I don’t want JG to start but I’m pretty sure he’s still the tallest midget in the circus

I would put in some packages for Maurer... 2-3 series a game to see if he can give you that spark and develop him. If he goes off, you’ve got yourself a QB, but to pull the rug on JG and then have Maurer be worse then costs you the engagement of JG when you need him again possibly

I think there should be provisions to have the ability to bring your roster up to 85 if you fall below a certain level. Put in safeguards so it can't be abused.

Hope Tim Jordan has success. He’s behind Chandler and Gray as an upperclassman. Let him play some football and enjoy it elsewhere. You only get so many years and if he wants to play, that’s his best path... same to all the transfer players, really.
I always respect those who stick it out, but some dudes need to move on, same as any situation in life

Agree, but you’ll see players processed out by coaches to upgrade the roster. Rule stinks but it’s there for a reason
