Just disagree, you can't fire him during the season of course. Maybe you give him 1 more year. I don't see doing the same thing as we did with dooley and jones beneficial at all.

The theory is nice but who’s is ready to pay for Butches staff, this exceptionally expensive staff and then go out and get an even more expensive staff... if you could talk anyone worth that salary to even coming?

Most likely scenario is over paying for another Pruitt type of coordinator to take a chance on.

My last comment on the matter, and feel free to ignore:

Recruits are watching how the fanbase handles the adversity of the next month. And by recruits, I mean some that we really, really want and will be on campus in the coming weeks. They feel that they will be the difference next year and are excited to get on campus and kickstart the rebuild. But they wonder about playing in a toxic environment where fans are against them. And they wonder about committing to coaches who've told them they would be here, but are getting trashed by fans. They wonder what kind of family UT really is. Relationships and support: they matter.

If you want something to change, sometimes you have to fight for it. I have no problem with a protest whether I agree with it or not. If it makes no sense to you, do not participate in a protest. Or just counter protest and fill neyland.
We're talking about a college football team not $15 an hour minimum wage. All this stupid emtyneyland crap does is hurt the kids on the team and potential recruits.

I'd wager that most people calling for it don't even go to the games anyway. Yet here we are with a portion of our fanbase echoing the ignorance.

Pruitt is safe.
He has support where he needs it internally unless he does something completely off the wall.

Sounds good--- but at this rate you guys are going to have to amp up the $$gravy train$$ if you expect to get higher-tier recruits to come here ... we don't really have anything to "sell" except playing time, so looks like we are going to have to "buy" some talent...

Some notes:

I think these are the ball park numbers I’ve seen. Butch had us at around 72,000 season ticket sales in 2015 & 2016. The numbers dropped off in 2017 and last year, Pruitt’s first year, we bottomed out at around 56,000. This year, with fans expecting improvement, we added 8,000 and got up to something like 64,000. If we continue to careen into the Abyss this year I could see us setting a new modern era record low for season ticket sales for 2020. I think we were cash flow negative last year and had to dip into our meager reserve.

Justin Wilcox is in his 3rd year as a head coach. His first year he went 5-7 with Cal. His best win that first year was at home over #8, at the time, Washington State (The Pirate). He also had wins at UNC and at home against Ole Miss. The next year he improved to 7-6, with wins at USC, at BYU, UNC, Colorado, and at the time #15 Chris Petersen’s Washington Huskies. This year, right now he’s sitting at 4-0 with a road win this time over #14 at the time Washington Huskies and he’s just flown back out west having beaten Ole Miss in Oxford. Cal is paying him $2,000,000/year.

QB can be coached and grown. You don't have to just "get lucky" and pick the right one or else. This notion that QB at college or pro level are either good or not, it's just a matter of getting lucky and identifying elite ones is silly. Almost all of the top 25 or so QB in high school and college are good enough to be good at the next level. The issue is coaching, scheme, development, training, etc...and less about whether a QB is predestined to be good or bad. Put Brady on the Browns of 10 years ago, and Brady is talked about as yet another Browns bust instead of a possible GOAT.
Put Brady on Belichick’s Browns squad and that’s not considered a failed stop for him.

No good coach wanted to come after we gave Butch 5 years.
Ya, the notion that waiting 4 or 5 years will cause elite coaches to include us in their consideration hasn't really been proven out. Same with Dooley. We waited until the entire world agreed he should be fired, and yet we couldn't get anyone amazing. Then again with Butch.

Quoted for emphasis. Thankfully twitter isn’t real life.

I think most kids know what’s gone on here the past 5 years with our program. The know what the fans have been through and they know how loyal we have been throughout it all. They know that winning is all that matters and f your not doing that then your gonna hear about it. I don’t think their watching as much as you think.

If Bailey can't tuck it and run like a Bo Nix, at this point, do not want... only way we survive/improve is with a true dual-threat that can make defenses have to count on the run from our QB... just the facts. Our WR action next season will not even be close to good enough to handle just a pro-style drop-back QB...

I agree, it will hurt the kids. I said that earlier. I still don't have a problem wtih whatever protest. It's not going to happen anyway.

Fans on twitter have less than 1% impact on anything to do with our program. Bama would pay a fleet (flock?) of tweeters to trash every coach who was recruiting against them if that were a viable strategy.

It’s an opinion.
