It's amazing how good coaches can take players recruited by other coaches and somehow improve, but here at Tennessee we have stooges claiming "he needs 4 years to get his players."

That proves the point he isn't much of a coach. Bob Stoops took an Oklahoma program that had been terrible and somehow won a NC his second year. Saban got Bama to the SECCG in his 2nd year at Bama. The bulk of those players were recruited by other coaches.

Not only haven't we improved, we're worse! 5 of the last 6 games have been the worst football I've ever witnessed at Tennessee.

Fans do not know what the coach knows... but we're 20-20 on looking at the results. At some point, seeing other coaches turn around teams the second year, you are left with either, Tennessee is much different than all other college teams... we just simply can't do what everyone else can do. Or that's where we are. I don't much care what coach-speak comes next. It's been over a decade. This is past embarrassing, it's shameful.

Other teams win all the freakin time with lousy recruiting classes. Tennessee can win with what they have with proper coaching.

You are correct Ok had 3 losing seasons before Stoops got there.
Bama was 2 years out of winning 10 games.
Exactly same scenario Pruitt inherited.
Except for the fact Pruitt can only replace 25 kids per year.
Saban is the reason this rule is in effect. He was only second to Huston Nutt in how many players he signed in a class.
