This season is going to be crazy and I really, really don't think Pruitt survives it. We can throw out all the rationales for not firing him but the noise will be deafening if we go 1-11 or 2-10. Tennessee's stunningly terrible season will be talked about daily and refreshed after every loss. He absolutely has to beat either MSU or USC and then win 2 out of 4 to close the season.

UAB will be a VERY competitive game and won’t be shocked we lose. I realistically see 2 wins at most.

That was fluke INT off a tipped ball by the WR and JG already threw 1-2 by that point, right?

They still have @ UF, @ LSU, vs UGA, and vs Bama. 9-3 might even be enough for Auburn to pull the plug especially if those losses are to LSU, UGA, and Bama. Their biggest rivals. Gus is perpetually on the hot seat and they might just get sick of him.

Honestly think we're hostage to a degree. Name Maurer the starter and very high chance JG goes, and that's fine. But was does Shrout do being skipped?

But I'm ready to run with JJ and the walk-ons as backups. Not even kidding.

I think you let JG go if he wants. I think you tell both the backups that they'll both see a lot of snaps regardless of the score. Each will be given an opportunity to showcase their talents and progress.

Ansley is learning on the job too. At least Pruitt should be implementing his tremendous defensive knowhow but our DBs just often look confused. Defense did ok today but we had no offense to complement it.

More than likely just a wake up call to JG. But they’ll go watch the tape and realize they should have left BM in.

Getting benched had zero effect on him too. No amount of head games will get him to succeed. Cut bait and start BM. He is already as good as JG and he was on the road in the Swamp.

I get people are upset at Pruitt. He hasn't been perfect, no doubt. He's made mistakes.

But he has no QB and no DL. What can he do?

Step 1-Win the coin toss in hostile territory and not defer.
Step 2- dont put your starting QB back in after you pulled him and the only points on the board came when the backup was in.

I dont know. I like Pruitt. I want him to succeed but I'm starting to believe in the static that he's not the one.

To me, and I'll say it again, we need to consider Richt. We dont and cant afford to take another chance on a coach. And I really dont know if there is anyone out there that is going to get us to the playoffs or even a SEC title game within the next 5 years. So we need someone to come in and just get us back on our feet. Compete with FL and beat USCjr, Mizz, Kentucky, and Vandy EVERY year. Then we focus on getting to the SEC championship. That's my opinion. Not that it counts for anything.

Yeah, it was a good throw and hit the WRs hands but it was double or triple coverage so maybe not the best decision but he’s a freshman. Play him anyway at this point.

Because Auburn has a track record of getting out before the collapse. Tubberville, Chizck. Both had Very recent success prior to their firing. Their fans are clamoring for change. Article written this past week says they would immediately offer Bob Stoops the job.

It's not gonna matter who we keep, fire or hire if we don't get a freaking QB in here.

The truth is Butch Jones was mediocre. But Dobbs could almost make him look great and the replacements helped make him look like the worst ever. He was never either, that's just how important that position is.

If you don't have a good one, you better damn well at least have a game manager..and we have neither.
