Which is why it takes a while to cycle out the players that NEED developing beyond basics. Look at Henry T for example. Some of these guys have been “developed” for 3 yrs or more already and still neeed to be told how to play? Get em out

One has to wonder what the season would be like at the moment, had Maurer started vs Georgia State and been given the chance to get his feet under him before the second half of a boat race in the swamp.

They showed JG smiling on the sideline as we were down 24-3

Pisses me off

His attitude sucks and it is beyond comprehension why he continues to play. He is not getting any better either - there's no lighting a fire under his ass.

Maurer needs to be the guy from here on out and JG can hit the transfer portal for all I care.

I agree why bench him for a QB that can’t play at this level??? Just embarrassing losing to. Godless team like Florida!

Anything is better than JG. He is the worst QB to ever play here.

I'd play Shrout over Maurer right now. Better arm, more experience. But either are better than JG.

Umm, I give credit to Pruitt for putting Mauer in!
Several passes he threw were into heavy coverage - the interception wasn’t his fault but two or three shoulda been that weren’t intercepted. His plus is he drops a step and shoots. He gets it out quick. I think Pruitt is doing right by working him and hopefully teaching during the week.
Unfortunately, we just aren’t there yet. Better but still weak on the line. Slow in the secondary and inexperienced at LB.
Weak on o-line yet and JG is just not able to overcome the pressure and get the ball out quickly.
Its gonna be a very long season!!!

He may make it to next season...but if the start of it resembles the start of this one....you can bet your sweet ass he is gone after going 1-3 like this year..

Fulmer has let Pruitt do things his way. Now it is time take the rhines away from him. Pruitt is too hard headed to listen to anybody. He is asking to be fired.

Hey Einstein are you comparing JG to Bray? Calloway to Hunter? You bought the goods Butch sold you, all the while not noticing the success we had under Butch was because of Dobbs not Butch. Butch developed JG for 2 years. Bray came in as a freshman and led us to a 6-6 record and a bowl game. But nice try
