Bball recruiting is getting just silly.

VQ posted we have visited 3 2021 guys this week, all 5*s. Also got an OV locked up for Kennedy Chandler, the #12 overall 2021 prospect visiting Oct 12th...the same day #2 overall prospect Paolo Banchero is coming. CHRIST. Are we even talking to 4*s at this point? Lol
Kennedy Chandler is going to Memphis.

How can the journo-grifter storyline be that "usc may have just sunk the pac-12's [so-called] playoff chances" when the pirate is in that league? arrrh, matie. asking for some friends.

The BYU loss might not be that bad.

Starting to come around on that one.
Have y’all watched any pac 10 games this year? USC is not good. Lol
The entire league is average. Utah was ranked 10th why? Bc they crushed BYU and northern Illinois. Sheeeesh
Polls are just Ranking teams this early based on mostly nothing.I’ve seen USC play three games, not one of them did they look like a top 40 team.

A loss to BYU at home after a loss to Ga State at home is HORRENDOUS.
Let’s stop equivocating

Advertisers and their front men are dying to get a Pac-12 team in the mix.

Pretty interesting discussion on the Russillo pod today with Andy Staples. Two of my favorite guys in their respective fields. Russillo is really smart and thoughtful on the NBA and I think Staples is one of the smartest guys covering college football nationally. I believe Staples is one of the few who still defends Tennessee fans over Schiano Sunday.

Anyway, they spend about 3 minutes talking about the Tennessee program. The takeaway was basically that the only difference between Tennessee and Nebraska is Nebraska has accepted where they are and Tennessee hasn’t. Not sure I agree that’s the only difference - but it may be my orange blinders.

Anyway, inevitably Pruitt’s future comes up, as should be expected. I think Staples believes in Pruitt pretty highly (doesn’t say so in this podcast but has before on Twitter and such) but he says his fear for Tennessee is that we’re essentially trying to recruit the same types of players as Alabama and Georgia. The problem is that, because we’re down right now, we’ll continue to get the lesser talented 1/3rd of those high school players - i.e., we’ll never catch up to those two - and that doesn’t even mention the problem in Gainesville. Basically you start the season at a disadvantage against your top three opponents - and it’ll take better gameday coaching to bridge that gap both in the short term and long term.

Tl;dr, I don’t think I ever really thought of it this way. That we should be zigging when the top of the conference is zagging. I don’t know that it’s true or false - just a different way of looking at things.

So...let me get this straight..Uhmm..We are not supposed to be going after great players? 🤔 I do not understand how not getting good players is going to help..🤔

No offense to the Vols account but I want them to quit making videos and start winning games
You do realize that it is that departments job is to make videos...right? 🤔

We may not gave a great football team, but we have a heluva multimedia marketing department or whatever they call it.
