What's the matter? Are you upset that not everyone has given up on this team and coaching staff like you have?
I’ve not given up - I’m just not going after people for rightly suggesting a team that lost to Georgia State and BYU is not likely to beat Florida in the Swamp.

And more to the point - I don’t act like my opinion influences the state of the program like some of you dweebs.

Y'all said that stuff. I couldn't care less about a credit card scandal. It takes more than that to press my triggered button. I think we win in 2019, that's all.
so you didn't care about any perceived disadvantages florida had in previous years............just this year?

k.

It's an interesting question. How does the Vol offense neutralize the Florida D front 7. Maybe this is why we have seen the emphasis on coaching JG up on the quick drop. Makes sense. Do we see the quick slant deployed effectively come Saturday?

I think that's actually one thing that has me optimistic this year.

Ain't no pressure, the entire country expects us to lose by 2 TDs. But we've got tons of young talent that's getting better and better every week. The overall speed in our back 7 is far greater than it has been in years past too.

Henry T and Bituli as well as Warrior can all set the Defense up and get folk in position. We should see/have all 3 on the field a lot. George getting the start over Taylor is huge, because despite a few mistakes Taylor is still a good CB and this staff isn't starting George for BS reasons. So if George is good enough to take that spot I expect he can play.

Jackson taking the spot beside Warrior is also big. And Burrell is going to just get more comfortable as the year goes on.

Maybe I'm not thinking this through, but wouldn't a running QB make the box get loaded even more??

I’m not saying constantly run the QB..but JG doesn’t run at all and with a Mobile QB that has no fear of running would keep the defense honest.the difference is Brian won’t force a throw under pressure he instead runs himself usually for a good chunk..verses JG forcing bad throws all of the time just because he feels pressure and not ever wanting to run even though he isn’t fast at all.

From what I hear. Trask is injury prone.. I highly doubt there will be many designed qb runs. Cant afford to lose him .. jmo..
they like Emory....doens't mean they'd be ok with losing Trask, but i don't think they're NOT going to run something if they think it gives them the best chance to win.

This team is starting a QB who hasn't started a game since he was a freshman in high school. If they were any other team outside of Bama or Clemson or something, same players, but different jerseys, nobody would be talking like we have no shot.

Y'all are terrified of the gator helmet
Ive got more faith in a scrub who is a converted left guard playing QB than I do JG. With that said, Go Vols and WGWTFA

Dude rushed for under 600 yards as a junior here. How is that possible? Properly utilized he should have had 2,000 all-purpose yards and 30+ TDs easily.

He probably got underutilized in the first 4 games of 2016, but in 3 of 4 of those, Hurd basically had 100 yards. In hindsight, I don't know why Hurd was all that upset unless it was the ass chewing he got in the UGA game. While the offense wasn't the best for him, he was getting the bulk of the carries. Kamara also got hurt against Bama and didn't play against USC or TN Tech.

I have always said that there is only one football. Sure, he should have gotten it more than he did. But our QB rushed for 670 yards and 830 yards in consecutive years. He was taking it from the RB's. We rushed for almost 3,000 yards in 2015. Pretty crazy.

Gonna see blitz packages we haven't seen out of Pruitt all year. No way he let's that dude stand back there stationary all game.

Probably true and we'll probably need them with our lackluster DL. But Mullen knows this too...then come the screens. Could just come down to which playcaller gets lucky with the right calls at the right time. Ansley will have to balance aggression with screen and option awareness. Imo they don't beat us right up the middle, but on the edges.

Idk of any plays where someone was blatantly open and those out of context screenshots are wrong, the ones I've seen. JG probably did miss a couple, but not a ton of "wide open" guys. And in what world does Shrout or Maurer do any better anyway? We've seen them. No point in discussing "if Manning was back there we'd won by 2-3 TDs". Not reality.

...none of which is to suggest we shouldn't have scored more, even with JG. Couple FGs should've been TDs.

Are you blind? There were guys running open on just about every pass play..We obviously see things completely different, and I don't have a clue what screenshots you are talking about.
