I honestly believe that the primary reason people don’t think we can win Sat is because there’s a gator on the side of their helmets. I’ve yet to here a coherent argument as to why they are so great or as to where they are so strong. Literally the only argument I’ve seen is “dur, their Florida, dur”. That means literally nothing.
I still have concerns about the DL. I realize that the UF OL is bad, but I would still think they're better than Ga. St. We have to stop the run or it will be a very long day. I think we can with some consistency, but we cannot let them control the LOS when we are on D.

Woah, the entire brigade sniffed out that positive tweet.

It's like "Mount up, realists!" 😂
I think it's hilarious that the most pessimistic and miserable people label themself "realists". It is a self-fulfilling prophacey. "Realist" act like everything is doom and gloom, normal people recognize they are miserable so they avoid interacting with them or respond back with a counter-point, "realist" only communication is argumentative or an echo chamber of despair which causes them to live in a reality of pity and negativity that they create for themselves.

Yes, 2 pick 6s. Vs now #9 utah. Play for play, Utah was just ahead by a bit.

The counter to "we win by 14+ with a different qb" hypothetical is the very real possibility byu scores 14 more in the 1st half on our busts. Nothing they did, but man we blew it a few times and were lucky. I just don't think we were a 2 td better team even with a better qb. Maybe later in the season, but not with all the issues we still had/have simply lining up and guarding men in a basic sense.
Dude...there were UT guys running wide open on just about every play. They could not cover us...at all. A good QB would have hung 40+ on them. We had a couple of busts...true, but we had guys open all over the field.

Why do people think spending time with Nick Saban magically turns failed coaches into good coaches? Saban isn't imparting wisdom on them and most of them are probably egotistical enough to think that they're better coaches than Saban anyway and that he's only successful because he's at Bama where he lords of the entire state and the SEC/NCAA.
Saban's coaching tree is the most overrated thing in college football. If he produced so many good coaches he would have lost to 1 by now. Lets hope Pruitt can break the cycle. I think it helps he has seen has Jimbo and Richt operates. Richt, Jimbo, and Saban all seem pretty unique from one another. He also has Fulmer to bounce ideas or take suggestions from.

Okay...so what I've gathered about the Banks situation (someone confirm)

1. Got a speeding ticket, didn't make the court date - license was suspended?
2. Pulled over again and was cited for driving on a suspended license (the "active warrant" was related to the suspend license/missing court for speeding ticket)

That sound right?

I think this is the story:
1. Banks was ticketed for driving on a suspended license in July. Court date was a couple months after ticket.
2. Banks got his license issue taken care of but did not attend his court date or pay the fine.
3. County issued Warrant since Banks did not go to Court and pay the fine.
4. Banks was pulled over and given a Warning for an illegal U-Turn. He was then arrested after the officer realized Banks had an outstanding Warrant for not appearing in Court.

I have concerns about our DL also. I know that we can bring pressure, but stopping the run won't be easy. However, I think Bituli being out there is a huge help in this area, not only because of his ability to make plays, but to line the guys up correctly which was the primary problem against GAS.

The good thing is, even if we aren't great at stopping the run, FL is horrible at running the football. Awful at it. So I don't think the run game is concerning there. My bigger concern is the passing game if our secondary can't cover their receivers.

But the point is, none of these things are definitive advantages for Fl. Just look at what we're saying: we're concerned about stopping the run. But FL is horrible at running the ball. It isn't like they have a huge advantage in that area if they have one at all.

I'm concerned about the passing game. But, they're starting a new QB who has never started a college game and we're going to bring pressure on him. Can our DB's cover their receivers? I don't know. But can their QB perform under pressure and make good decisions? We don't know that either. Further, is Bryce back? If so, that's a big help. So again, while their passing game against our DB's might be concerning, it isn't some gigantic advantage we can't overcome. In fact, depending on the performance of Trask, we could end up having the advantage there.

The biggest concern that FL brings on Saturday is their defensive front against our OL. They will get pressure against JG. They will. That's the advantage that they have. JG then has to take care of the football and get the ball out fast. But we'll also bring pressure against Trask. So do they even have a decided advantage here? I don't see it. Especially since their banged up on their DL. Who knows if Zuniga is even playing. Further, Henderson may be out and their starting safety is out as well. There will be plays to be made in the passing game for us if JG can make them.

I just don't see Fl having this decided advantage on either side of the ball and yet people are acting like they're unbeatable. I don't see it. In fact, I think there's a reason why the last several games have been extremely close. In 2014, 15, and 17 they won with absolute flukes. No denying that. In 2016 we beat their brains in. Last year I think was fool's gold for them because we had a comedy of errors, most of which are self-inflicted. We are close to them, we are.

If they have some decided advantage I wish someone could show it to me so that I could prepare better for heartbreak on Sat lol. The real advantage that they have is that they always find ways to win and we find ways to lose. We have to reverse that.

The exact same thing happened to me in Knoxville in 86..
