People always talk about next 5 star up. But they lost a lot to injuries and transfers. Starting to show a little.
Could have mattered more if they were still nitwits and ran bawwl control offense. Sucks they actually modernized. Dont even need eliiite D this year

Fwiw Sheriron Jones started for NM vs ND. Did not do well unfortunately. 4 of something throwing. 3 picks iirc. 1 nice run was about it. The backup was better honestly, think he missed part of preseason or something. And ND is pretty strong, especially through the air. Should give uga some run next week.

Ask that question if he still does good when gameplanned for. Probably a reason he never beat out Franks when given every opportunity to

When UK pressured him he didn't do very well. They played soft against him the first series for some reason and it cost them. Never play conservative against Florida when you have a lead. Something always happens when you do. Kentucky should know this as well as we do by now.

Jones is one of my favorite guys to never really play for us. He was a force during the VT game. I wish he had the talent to go with his passion and heart. I think he will make one helluva coach one day if he decides to go that route.

A week to scheme against Trask should help. Glad he had his emotionally charged, game saving sub in tonight instead of against us. Theoretically, there is a reason he couldn't beat out Franks so I certainly like our chances better now.

Surely a bit to UT. Uf just escaped uk and have a backup now. Trask played well, but it's uk...

Just got bituli back and we are looking quite healthy. If BT is back next week...eyeball emoji
Programs that are serious about winning would find a way to have BT on the field against Florida.

I’m trying to explain football to my 10 year old who is just now really getting into it. Think about really knowing nothing, not the first thing. It’s hard to explain!

At the root I told him it is fundamentally about controlling and taking territory and moving into the theory and rules from there.

Well I suppose you start with:

One guy lines up behind the center, puts his hands against ass of the bent-over guy, and then grunts audibly until the action starts.

Too soon?

Bump 😬

Gotta use your eyes man. There was and is a reason.
Honestly, I thought we would be better but our depth is worse than I realized.

Chattanooga was bad, real bad. Our 3rd string would probably lose to them and our 2nd string was close to a push. And there was battles between our 1st and 2nd string at a few spots. We're in desperate need of talent and the 25 man cap moves things along at a snail's pace.

They maintained the shutout. I dont think they'd lose. But 2nd and 3rd strings always halt scoring for most teams and give up a little bit.

Hell, LSUs FIRST string gave up 14 yesterday.

I didn't watch LSU, no clue what they were up to.

Agree there's always a drop to 2nd string but the drop was definitely larger yesterday than when we're even just a solid team, imo.
Not debate worthy, I wouldn't have mentioned it if I realized it was.
Thought everyone agreed on our depth issues.

We do have depth issues. But I think it was at least a positive they maintained at least in defense. also got a score from Maurer. Could have been worse but instead it was as expected which is better than the first two weeks. Can we agree on that?

I was just trying to back you up on why Taggart is in a different situation than Pruitt and the stables they're working with is what jumped out most.

But yeah, don't worry about it. Not having much success trying to agree or state what I think are obvious things these days. 🙁

lol nah man, I know and agree with what you're saying. I'm just being a homer because that's what we do. Trying to lead this charge of getting Ron outta the dumps.

Did anyone else hear the announcers discussing KY was down to the 4th string in the UK secondary...I think it was at safety. Not saying Trask played poorly but it might explain some of the wide open looks FL was getting at the end of the game. Would be nice to have Bryce back there this weekend....our DB’s might make things a little different for Trask.
