Maurer was disappointing. I expected him to throw more and show some decisiveness. Shrout was decisive. His problem was execution which can usually be coached up.
JG hit mostly wide open receivers... and was still late several times with the ball. All three of those TD's would have been defended by an FBS D. His "decision making" is still the #1 thing holding this team back. The announcers talked about it before the game. They talked during the game about his habit of overanalyzing and not being able to get past the last play.
As I've told you for more than a year now, JG has great physical talent but has not come along mentally. The UTC game didn't prove anything different. If he does that vs UF or even Vandy... then maybe that points in the right direction.
