If I’m Pruitt and JG struggle tomorrow against Chatt the way he’s struggled against GSU unable to score in the red zone because he can’t pass down there, I’m benching him and never joining back.

The way JG is playing the ceiling of this team is like 3, maybe 4 wins. It can’t hurt to prepare for the future by giving the other guys playing time even if it looks like they aren’t ready. We aren’t winning anything with JG anyway. That said, I still think JG can play much better than he has. But he needs to show it or he’s gonna lose the locker room if he hasn’t already. Gotta be hard to go out there and give everything you have to win while your starting QB is throwing into triple coverage, missing you when you’re wide open, and just not giving you a chance to win

Why is it hard for people to comprehend that mauer expecting to play doesn’t mean he is starting over Jg? He clearly expects to play in relief after we get up big. If we don’t get up big then he probably would play anyway because jp would be fed up with Jg if he can’t do good vs Chattanooga

Literally nobody in here has said they expect Maurer to start. Nobody.

He can play better than he has. But it’s absolutely fair to say one of the primary reasons we are 0-2 are on him. Especially BYU. That is squarely on his shoulders. Bet the team is losing confidence in him already

Hope he gets plenty of it however he wishes.

The fact I don't like cheap shots at something so awesome, has absolutely nothing to do with TN football # wins or losses.
