Revisiting this post, maybe Cardale should have played school because I believe he was recently cut.

The truth is, the majority of players should be more concerned with the school part than the playing part because they will not have a future career in the NFL. That tends to get overlooked in the whole "pay the players" argument.
To me, you’re conflating what someone “should do” vs what someone should “have the freedom to do.” Of course we should all go to college, take advantage of any shortcuts given to us, work as hard as we can, etc.

But let’s face it - these guys don’t want to be in school. They want to be football players. They should the freedom to do as they wish. To sink or swim on their own merits.

The university is not bankrolling anything with proceeds from the FL boy's shirts. After covering costs, profits are being donated to STOMP Out Bullying. The boy retains the copyright to his design. UT isn't trying to weasel away rights or make money off of him or his sad experience. The boy is a minor, so UT coordinated everything with his family and it's all being handled legally according to their wishes.

It's a shame that some uninformed media person tries to spin a good deed as a money grab. There's really no reason to be uninformed. One call to UT Media Relations would have provided the facts to any media person bothering to check. Call Tyra Haag at UT, @David Ubben. If you don't know her, you should.
Thank you for posting this. Facts are facts and many members of our local media do not seem to care to find out what they are.

Then complain to the nfl

Unreasonable point or nah? Nothing that hasn't already been said. His piece of art, his to profit from?

Not that I agree, but point is not off base. What is the riling up over? Christ yall
Have you read any posts that are actually informative on what really happened. There are a few of them. You might want to do that.

Suggesting this fanbase is scapegoating instead of actually being filled with folks that are just prideful over being helpful..
TO ME of all people?

Lol, keeping us on our toes is one, but I know several better descriptions. 😅

By all means, let’s keep talking about this.
