Know why the 1989 season was so much fun??? Because I lived through the 0-6 start of the 1988 season.
I admit I’m hopelessly and completely addicted to Tennessee football. I’ll be here Saturday after Saturday rooting for my Vols!!! There is no cure known to man

Same. Hate to see them lose, but I’m back every Saturday for my fix of UT football win or lose.

I had some time before catching a flight. I'm not trying to change anybody's opinion or interfere with other posters' agendas. The team is underachieving and problems abound... but the core of the recruiting class is, amazingly, hanging together. Time to triage. Recruiting is critical, and relationships are what's keeping this current class together. Sever that and everything will freefall. One year at a time.

Ty Chandler, Trey Smith, and Cimaglia are the only really good SEC quality players in that class. There are some other guys who play, but they are guys who shouldn't be on a roster at TN. Unbelievable.

And those 3 are all from TN!

Nothing, I don't think. He brought something no one knew how to deal with..until they did. Then it wasn't so hot.
I prayed he got the Florida job.

While I knew how good Mullen was, just didn't think he could get the talent here necessary, even for him. But it just falls in his lap at Fl and that's bad for us.

Kelly at Fl would have been a blessing.

His 4.65 is verified per 247. And he played against the best competition in NJ which is saying a lot. State produces tons of top level D1 athletes every year

Still a different guy calling plays. Pruitt isn’t changing the play every time he doesn’t 100% agree with Ansley’s call. If he did, why the hell would we pay someone that much money to help coach DBs?

Aside from being annoyed with having to do a contractually obligated call-in show instead of reviewing film or coaching ball, I don’t get the impression Pruitt has thought much about the objectivity or substance of media in general anywhere he’s been. It’s a thing I like most about him. His twitter account is clearly the work of an assistant, he hates the call-in show and press conferences, he just wants to ball.

I feel like other fans look at our 0-2 record with a GSU loss and read stuff like this and laugh. I think we bring a lot of the ridicule and social media bashing on ourselves.

But don’t get me wrong, I like the optimism and will be the first in here to celebrate with all you guys, but you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. Go ahead and expect the worst. It’s just our reality at the moment.

Crouch will be a beast. Just watching him and his size and speed on the field. He’s good.

That almost int pass break up against Bushman was unreal...that dude is a freak athlete to be so thick, and that was a big time clutch play at that moment..if he stays healthy and keeps his head in it...he will be a boss...To'oto'o also made a ton of plays..future looks bright at that spot.

But I can see where it lands and it's not 3 steps off lol. Unless by steps you mean feet. Because it was about 1.5 yard off. His stride is about 2 yards, so less than 1 stride from him. Can't believe he didn't dive for it smh

I was pissed that he didn't lay out for that pass...I still am, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say he might have just misjudged the distance, and did not think he had a chance to pull it...but he did.

I think the reason everyone is fairly optimistic here is we see that if this team 'clicks', this can be a damn good football team. Especially if we can get Thompson and Bituli back. The offense is actually close to being really good. If we can get just a bit more out of JG and finish in the red zone..we can beat some fools.

Meh..This job would have destroyed his career.
