Preseason most thought JG was the only individual injury that could cause a catastrophic season. While not 1 person, most would have also said losing our 3 best defensive players, 1 on each level, would do the same. That's where we are right now. Best DL out, best LB out, best DB out. Meanwhile JG isn't what we thought he'd be. Though Ga St was much more than that, things still make a lot more sense when we consider how far down we are from the preseason roster. We expected Gooden, BT, Bituli and a good JG.


Let's get Bituli and BT back and let JG get out of his head or a backup to step up before we define what this team and staff's year will be. Plenty of room for improvement.

I would love the quality of coaching but feel dirty and disgusting for having him as a coach. Not sure I could root for that guy.

If and it’s a gigantic if we could beat UF in 2 weeks the energy for the rest of the season from fans I think would be there. Whether or not we make a bowl game people would be fine in the off-season getting at least 1 of the big 3.

Bringing Bituli on the field, him lining up the defense, and moving Ignont off the field can only help.

We just need it to click for JG like it did for Crompton in 08

Teams certainly have to account for it. JJ, callaway, palmer deep are real threats. In fact I've seen quite a bit of dime and quarters this year. That and more balance in playcalling has opened the running game some. We were too predicable and had too many bunch sets last year. This year we are smartly spreading out more and getting defenders out of the box. I like what we've done to open up running.

Issue is jg is struggling to read the field with the same set up. He isn't used to having 3/4 WR sets all day and a bunch of DBs flying around. Question now is what is the best adjustment to make and there is no simple answer.

Makes no sense at all. The booth stopped the game to check the spot. Then took 10 seconds from the Saints. As a Saints fan, I can say the refs hate us. Always find a way a screw us.
