Dont hype yourself up. Its not getting betterAnother bright spot, to me at least Austin Pope.
We really needed Banks at RB I think, but I applaud the staff putting kids where they want to be. I just hope Hodge doesn't change his mind, cause he'll finally be the big back we need. And you best believe -next- season on those short yardage plays the OL with Hodge will demolish teams.
(ugh I hate already being in "next season" mode after 2 freaking GAMES!) BasketVols should be good for 20+ and BaseVols gonna be good.
Dumb moveStill think it’ll be Tee or Fulmer as the replacement. If they have to pay the buyout for Pruitt they won’t want to 1) hire an outside coach and pay the buyout at his school and 2) pay the buyout for the current staff.
Tee becomes HC, keep Chaney at all costs, then let the rest of the staff know you aren’t firing them. Many of them will take other jobs and you replace them how you see fit.
Firing a coach over 10k season tickets is like selling all your stocks after a market crash. It's reactionary stupidity which will cost you more in the long run.Hiring and firing coaches are usually always financial decisions. When it becomes financially necessary to fire him he will be gone. 10,000 people don't renew their season tickets, it's fiscally irresponsible to not fire him. We go 2-10 the UTAD will be lucky not to lose 10K season ticket holders.
Urban go down as the greatest coach ever if he took over the VOLS and turned it around.. He'd have to deal with playing Alabama, Georgia and his former team, though. He'd never do it. Go to USC where it's much easier to win.Urban setting up the backup plan if the USC job falls through?

I don’t think this makes us any more successful than the trajectory with Pruitt, necessarily. But it’ll probably be the move with the least pain.
