Every year these gameday shows get worse. I cant even have them on as background anymore.

It's sterile, corporate, cellophane packaged fake ass southerners and bro country whipped up with saccharine personal interest stories and nsfw bandwagoning

Working around the house. Finishing laundry. Meal prepping for the week. Playing with my kid. I might even take the kid out to dinner and catch what I can at a restaurant somewhere.

I’m still here as a fan, but I’m not investing anymore time planning my Saturday around the game.

For you young guns who are struggling with understanding why we keep losing, take a couple of minutes to read this post from an old timer who is a lifelong Vol fan. As a kid sat in the stands in the north end zone with my dad watching Vol legends play the game with all they had as well as through the decades that followed. Though all that time I have never witnessed what I saw last Saturday. I also know it may not be the bottom and it could go lower. However, I sincerely hope that it was just a weird aberration.

I have no idea what to expect this evening and that's what bothers me most. Which is one major reason why I want the players to play and act like JJ. There are good reasons he is who the students/fans painted on the rock. The players and coaches should care about Vol football the way he does. Guys like JJ transcend time.

How did he get that way? By growing up as a fan. Think about it. Fan support is crucial and the lifeblood of Vol football. Don't diss the fans no matter how stupid they act. Fans are not media with agendas and narratives. As players if they cannot refrain from doing that, they should stay off social media. If coaches and administrators see it, they should stop it. Players represent Vol fans everywhere. Nearly every male Vol fan who played football in HS would have given anything to play on the field that bears the General's name wearing the orange and running through the T as the POTS plays when they were the same age. Only about 25 are chosen each year. It is a privilege, not a right. The coaches should recruit the guys that get that with zero exceptions. The players should not need more "motivation" or many proverbial kicks in the arses. That's where the Volunteer spirit comes from and how many Vol teams were able to pull upsets against the odds. It's how UT became the one team Bama hated playing the most and how one won the NC during most of our lifetimes.

That's what we have been missing for over a decade. Kiffin had that mentality, but did not buy in. Dools, Botch and now, Pruitt have not bought in or shown the Volunteer spirit. Pruitt still has the opportunity and I hope he chooses to embrace it. He will need it to be successful on the hill.

Not me, we are competing with Texas A&M for players, we don't need them building anything there. I cheer against all other SEC teams. All those SEC teams were having a good laugh at us last week and I can promise you not 1 of them was cheering for us to win that game.

I watched a documentary on voodoo while cooking breakfast. I’d rather learn something than watch a bunch of has-been homers turn college football into soap opera while talking over highlights of games that were played last week.

Every time David Pollack opens his mouth, I feel like asking for an audit of Georgia’s accreditation because how the f@&$ did that dumb@$$ get a college degree.

I’d say Clemson has taken more players from us than A&M
