The problem with modern journalism is that it lacks journalists.

(Not joking)
Still there, but the public's scope of what is "journalism" has widened greatly due to the great widening of media avenues. It would be like arena football playing on TV and fans saying, "man, professional football has gone to crap". That is hardly pro football. And fansided, twitter, and SDS ain't journalism.

Jeremy Pruitt yesterday:

ON WHAT JARRETT GUARANTANO HAS TO DO TO MAKE A LEAP IN PRODUCTION THIS SEASON

“I don’t think from a production standpoint, you look at last year, basically with the number of offensive linemen we had on our team, there was a point in time that we only had seven healthy guys that could really play (on the offensive line). So we had to shorten the games and do some things. We’re not in that situation now. We got guys back, we’ve created depth, whether it was recruiting or player development. So things like that will obviously improve his production.”

ON HOW DIFFERENT THE OFFENSE LOOKS TO HIM UNDER JIM CHANEY

“It’s kind of like I said in the previous question. With our offensive line, we have more competition up front. We’re bigger and stronger there. We have most everybody back from the offensive side of the ball last year. Another year under their belt, they have a much better understanding of what we’re trying to get done, how to go about practice. Their bodies change, the older they get. We just look older, more mature team offensively.”

@jakez4ut @Aesius @zhangliao04 and other Charlotteans. Our watch parties have moved to Angry Ales on Montford this year. It's a great location for the game and the owner is apparently fully engaged in making it a great game day experience for us.
I'm out this week (travelling) but will be there most weeks since it is convenient for me. Hope to See all CLT Vol alumns and fans out there!
I live in Charlotte too. I'll be in Wilmington this weekend, Knoxville next weekend, so see ya at AA's for UTC!

Been thinking about this today...

Who’s your surprise (i.e. least talked about) player on offense and defense that will be talked about as being pivotal to success this year. Offense is hard we seem to talk a lot about everybody.

O - Jahmir Johnson
D - Matthew Butler

Ubben had ainge on his podcast today. The beginning was all about Bryce and wasn't really anything interesting. But ainge had some insightful things about the oline communication and calls as well as on jg. Not sure if it's free or not but was a good listen.
