My prayers for you and your family. This breaks my heart and is too close to home as we are raising our 6 year old grandson. He knows we love him and he knows things are different compared to his friends.

Yes, I had raised him like my own son as his dad was never in the picture. In the wake of it you do a lot of reflecting back, wondering if there were clues you missed that might have helped us see if there was something bothering him, but counselors have told us sometimes even eyes that are trained to see it will miss the signs. I will keep a very close eye on the 6 year old though.

Prayers for all those that have lost loved ones. Losing a loved one is hard. When tragedy compounds it is worse. When the loss is a young person it is terrible and suicide just leaves you with even more questions of "why" than normal. If you believe in God, it is times like these that you should turn and lean into Him. We cannot understand why these things happen but the love of Jesus is often the only thing that can sustain in the face of an awful event. If you don't believe in God, know that He is there for you anyway in hard times if you want Him. Not trying to start the religion debate. Just stating my beliefs. Again, thoughts and prayers to all.

I would do the same thing, but if you were involved in his life and showed him love then you were doing what you should have done.

So very, very sorry, and you just never know. My oldest grandson, 14 at the time, committed suicide this past December. No evidence of depression whatsoever. Just a wonderful young man. Always doing extracurricular stuff at his school. A member of the school chess club. A and B student all his life; had taken Brazilian Ju Jitsu and Muay Thai kickboxing since he was 6, and was a junior instructor at the school working with the young kids. Had a girlfriend, had a job at Publix for about 6 months prior. Was a gifted guitarist. And he did it on his 6 year old brother's birthday, so that will be his memory on his birthday for the rest of his life. I had been with him the night before and he seemed great, and then you get that call just changes your life forever. It makes me cry even now.

Again, so very sorry.
Oh my goodness. I cannot fathom your grief. So, so, so very sorry.

Lol they are high

I can't blame them for being excited following last season. Stoops and his staff have done a good job developing players and it seems to be paying off with them starting to get higher ranked players . Not really unlike Rick Barnes, who just got a bunch of 3*s drafted into the NBA, and is now reaping the benefits of getting 5*s committing to him.

He almost left early for the NFL last year. He dominated in the game Wisconsin which always has a good OL while playing with a cast on his hand.

“Massive defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga — perhaps BYU’s best pro prospect — plans to do just that. Tonga, a junior from West Valley City’s Granger High, said that the 2019 season quite likely will be his final one in Provo.”
Heat will get him..

I really hope somebody big time is smart enough to hire Stoops before they become an annual thorn...lord knows we don't need any more difficulty in coming back. He is a good solid coach, and he has done a great job.
