I’d say females are just as often guilty of males to threaten “slapping the $*** out.” Most of the time, people sensitivities aren’t so offended as to call the police. Sounds like this young man made a poor decision at 20 years old, yelled and carried on. It’s not the end of the world. He didn’t hurt anyone. I bet he learns from it and moves on.

It would hard to be a young person these ultra-sensitive days.

Not defending the situation per se, but have you ever yelled out something when you were angry (or intoxicated if you drink) that you regretted right away ( or when you sobered up)? I have yelled things when I was mad that would never be backed up when I was at UT. If there is evidence that he has physically abused his girlfriend of 4 years, or has shown tendencies for gun violence in the past, by all means he should be punished accordingly. If not, let the legal system go on and await the decision before we get out the gallows.

Don’t think anyone is really defending his behavior. Think most are waiting to see the actual facts and if anything can be proven before we decide he is guilty of this stuff.

When people first hear the word domestic assualt, they don't even get the information straight. Just like with Kareem Hunt, who slightly tapped a girl's behind with his foot. People just look at the headline and are quick to label.

Yes, it sounds like he has anger issues, but did he actually cause any physical harm to anyone before police arrived? No, he had restraint. He was obviously angry and people say things when they are angry. Unfortunately, for Bryce, when you play for a high-profile football team, your words mean much more.

The article I've read said that he his GF stated he gets mad in their arguments. He has punched walls, etc. But has he actually hurt anyone? Not from my knowledge. Yes, the guy needs help and will probably be suspended. But his history hasn't actually shown him to "slap a B****" or follow through with his words. Maybe this time around, he needs to learn that he can't just say what he wants, but needs to show more self control because there are ramifications for your words.

Maybe it’s all for the good. He’s forced to grow up a little quicker and nobody got hurt.

That’s called her not wanting him to get in further trouble. She probably won’t cooperate if the don’t drop the charges on their own. She wasn’t the one who called the police.

Also, I’m not defending him but seemed he walked away from the argument as well as he destroyed a gate in the process

Exactly, they’ve been engaged for 2 years now & she knows him. If she called the police it would be a different story.

Yep, let’s kick him off the team, throw him under the jail. SMH.

None of us know all the facts or what went down exactly, but since we are speculating and passing judgement it has also been reported the the girl involved doesn’t remember anything and the witnesses are inconsistent with what was said. There isn’t even proof he actually struck anybody. The only victim here seems to be a gate door. Sigh.

You can bet your bottom dollar if he is kicked off the team he will be playing somewhere else next season for a coach that realizes what this really is and willing to give him a second chance and not ruin his career.

This should be handled internally and punishment should be handed out by Pruitt and company.

And for what it’s worth, the Knoxville media should be put on notice for slander in future reporting before spouting off without knowing all the facts.

Exactly why I hate punishing my kids in public. Karen could call the police and here I go to jail for threading to bust my child’s ass🤷‍♂️

You don’t understand what a police report is or what it entails do you? Theres a reason that there is a process (that still has yet to happen) before a person is deemed guilty of something. Amazed that some people skip over all that right to the guilt part.

You’re missing the point. The part that could get him kicked out of school isn’t the reason he’s charged. It’s the shoot up the school remark that could do it. I’m 100% confident the DA charges won’t stand.

He wasn’t charged with Any terroristic threat. So obviously there wasn’t enough credible evidenced.🤷‍♂️
