The Air Raid QBs rarely get drafted, regardless of their video game numbers though. If anything him being drafted points to how bad last year's class was and yet 11 QBs were drafted. Not to mention the number who got contracts to camp.
That's not true anymore. Lots of air raid qbs are having success in the league now and the OCs are incorporating more air raid concepts throughout the league now.

He's so incompetent they were a play away from a national title in just year 2? I'd take that sort of incompetency all day here. Please please please let's have it this year lol
There was injustice being posted about a SEC team other than the Vols. One poster took the call because that one poster is ever vigilant...LOL FOREVER!

Last I’ll weigh in on the subject. If Guarantano has a sensational statistical season, he’d be foolish not to explore his options. Anything short of that, I think he’s grounded enough to build on what was successful and make a pitch after another season with Chaney.
This is where I'm at.

Yup the league is changing. It's often the last to adapt, but it's happening. They are going full pass silly (in a good way). The numbers just make too much sense not to pass more than run.

Couple things from VQ podcast today...

Question was asked how many does UT land...Washington, Gilbert, Sewell and Smalls? Simonton and Price both said at least 1. Price said "100% one and 50% two. Niedermeyer won't strikeout"

They were asked O/U 20 TD passes by JG? All picked the over. Hubbs also shared a stat that everywhere Chaney has been since getting back into CFB after NFL days every single QB he's had has thrown for 20+ TD's in year 1 with him, except for the kid at Ark.

Another question was which team in the top 25 right now will be unranked at the end of the season.

Simonton says Florida.

He didn't say incompetent. He said not as competent as he has been built up to be even before he got a head coaching job. He was already crowned the next Saban.

So is the trend for the NFL to follow new ideas from college instead of vice versa?

We should take Grandma out.

Vs

We should take Grandma out.

No place for a comma and I don't know if we're putting her out of her/our misery or providing her with a meal and/or entertainment.

Left up to your discretion on this one.

Yeah...that's why I said if he had a Mitch type year. Cause JG doesn't have the legs that Dobbs did, so I feel like it'll take a top 5 single season in UT history passing the ball to really give him some firm feedback he's going to be drafted.

Running backs who can’t make an imprint as a receiver are getting phased out as well.

One of Washington, Gilbert, Sewell and Smalls? Wow, I'd take that in a heartbeat. Difficult choice, to have though. I'd go with either Sewell or Gilbert.

The discussion of JG to the pros seems to be focusing on whether he should go pro after this year, when the real question is whether he will. Kids make bad decisions all the time. Quarte Sapp being the most recent example.

Also, add Jared Goff to the list of Air Raid QB’s to get drafted high recently. Cal threw the ball all over the place under Sonny Dykes.

UF is far and away the popular preseason "overrated" pick, and I could see their season circling the drain due to off-the-field issues. This weekend's game vs the Canes is going to be interesting.
