The Last Person to post wins XVIII

I have occasionally watched a game, but not a fan like i was.
I just miss the good old days of the early and mid 90s where me and my family lived and died on every pitch watching the Braves in the playoffs. The only thing that comes close to that excitement I felt as a kid is watching the Vols play. I would give anything for my kids to feel that way about sports now but sadly with technology the way it is, its harder and harder to achieve this. Its something I think this next generation will miss out on almost completely. :(

I agree. I've mentioned somewhere else here, but as a kid my parents would take me to Cincinnati when the braves were there occasionally. We had family all over northern Kentucky and around Cincinnati. When i was 18 i would drive myself there, and Atlanta to watch them. I went to a game where Steve Avery hit two homeruns! It was awesome.

I remember going to a game when the Braves and Pirates were the two teams to beat in the National league and seeing a Braves fan getting tossed from a game for yelling obscenities at Andy Van Slyke, the pirates outfielder. I was like 12 and it was awesome...lol

Nothing will ever top the moment Sid bream was safe to me😄. I mean I'm glad they won a title, but the emotion in that moment watching it live was euphoric.

Back when cable first came to Memphis in the eighties I watched every Braves game that came on (that was every game). They had Dale Murphy, Glenn Hubbard, Maddux, Smoltz, Glavin etc. Then they had a strike that cancelled the World Series and I never watched another game.

Murphy was and is my favorite player of all time. I actually have his rookie card. Its one of my prized possessions.
