I don't know, call me old fashion but if I'm there to watch a musician then I want it to sound good more than I want a laser show and stupid stuff like that.

Sevendust is an amazing live band, as is Chevelle. Foo Fighters definitely makes it a show though. But for me Tyler Childers at the Bijou with a few hundred people singing every song at the top of our lungs was pretty amazing for me.
Loved seven dust thought Chevelle was a little bass heavy eyeballs jiggled the whole time still good. I thought Tantric put on a good show.

I told you not to go to the Newport Folk Festival in '65

Smokies stadium and it was Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan. I remember looking at my friends and saying, “I’d pay twice as much for them to cut Dylan off and bring Willie back out.”

Saw Chevelle twice, have also seen 10 Years twice. I was most disappointed by Shinedown live, just too much bass/drums and couldn't hear anything else. When we got outside of the arena you could actually hear/understand them better. Was crazy.

Noah Gundersen in Asheville, NC was an amazing show too. An old church about 189 seats and was sitting front row, he's a pretty man...I know the wives enjoyed that (went with another couple, #notmormon)

I will also say I'd rather go to Asheville for a show/weekend over Nashville any day of the week.

DMB shows are awesome. Been to many. Never wore cutoffs or played with a hackey sack. Too busy drinking, smoking and doing my best white guy dance moves.
Buncha Jam Band fans up in hur...

I loved DMB before I went to see them in concert. I'm just not a big jam session concert type guy...

Went and saw carnival of madness tour or whatever with shinedown some years ago was on the other side of Memphis Snowden grove maybe ?? I thought they were really good. That's where the bass line for Red was permanently ingrained in my vision. I think venue can definitely be a plus or minus depending on artists performing. Still think my favorites were One less reason at the vfw on airways in jackson when I was growing up.

Seems like different criteria in here. When I think of "shows", I think more of Floyd type concerts.

Some mentioned here had great performances when I saw them but that's what it was, just them performing on stage. I kinda separate the 2 and have different favorites for each category.
