The problem I have with the whole clutch thing is that nobody can define it. A guy can get a couple of late hits or a walkoff and suddenly he's considered "clutch" whether there's a stat that says so or not. I don't think an RBI in the 2nd inning is really different from one in the 8th. You just happen to notice the late one more.

Yeah I'm not really equating it to what point in the game it comes, I'm simply talking about a hit when there are guys on base. That's when it matters. RISP in any inning. Homers are cool but you gotta be able to hit when ur guys are on the pads.
