It's stupid. Parents think that their children will be bigger and faster than all the other kids and earn a scholarship because of it, but 97% of them aren't athletic enough to earn a scholarship. Maybe more than that. Not to mention they're either embarrassed because they're a year older than their classmates or they're too cocky for the same reason. How do y’all feel about holding kids back in school for sports? I’ve always joked with my wife about it, but I have two friends this year holding their 8th grade sons back for sports.
But i was also one of the youngest kids in my class which sucked, last to get your driving license etc. Lots of positives being older in your class. That’s their resining, and their sons wrestle. They are both, very very good, nationally recognized. But they fee their bodies aren’t ready for high school competition.
Speaking of, just finished his book this morning. Quiet the twist to the last few pages, enjoyed it.
This weekend will make up for it.I’m still catching up, but I don’t think we’ve had a commit today. Guessing your book=commit streak is broken? Thanks a lot @bignewt.
A lot of kids are totally different from ages 17-18. I probably wouldn’t do it if you had like an August birthday and would be 18 basically your whole senior year but if you were say 17 for 99% of it and turned 18 in May then i would definitely do it.Stupid IMO. In high school others catch up with them anyway IF they are bigger. Even worse in elementary school.

Same here. Started kindergarten while I was still 4 instead of 5. They've knocked that out though. My daughter turned 5 at what equates to 2 months earlier than I did and yet they made her wait. But i was also one of the youngest kids in my class which sucked, last to get your driving license etc. Lots of positives being older in your class.
Don't mean these words to sound so easy to do but trust in Him. Nothing easy about walking by faith but the Lord wanting to enlarge your faith and ministry. Nothing easy about it. Praying for you as your being sifted.I have a family health issue within my crew that has recently come to light and we need to work through it here with our healthcare system vs. Thailand. The decision was very much out of my hands and I’m admittedly struggling with it
Fully intend to return in July 2020. Currently sorting through the logistical nightmare of the whole thing with everything we own being in Thailand, needing to continue to rent our house there, find a sitter for our dog, probably losing our return tickets and needing a new ticket to return for a couple of weeks next month to work things out on the ground level
Tough place to be right now, but 100% the right call
Currently drinking some Elmer T Lee! Why not? It’s monday, lol.
Some other go tos for good price, Michters, Bulleit, and Buffalo Trace are all easy to find and a great pour!
In Tennessee the birthday limit is August 15. No exceptions. If the child turns 5 before that date then they can start kindergarten. If they turn 5 after that date then they have to wait until the next school year to start kindergarten.Same here. Started kindergarten while I was still 4 instead of 5. Which is weird because now we have kids that are 2 years and only 1 month apart but 3 grade levels apart.
