It’s Georgia then everybody else in the East. Kentucky beat Florida last year. Vandy plays hard under Mason. SC will be tough as nails like always.

Pruitt feels good about this team. If we stay healthy and the returning production predictions pay off then I think we could finish 2nd. If Trey can’t play, if JG goes down, if the freshmen don’t pick up the game fast, then we could easily be 5th at 6-6.

7 wins is my floor. 9 the ceiling. A Florida victory in the swamp and I’m happy with 6-6 though!

Yeah I’m pretty confident we go 4-0 OOC.

No gimmies in conference anymore though. Kentucky, Missouri, Vandy, MSU, SCjr have all played us relatively well lately. I see a couple very likely losses to the top teams and a whole lot of toss up/close games

I think both our DBs could pick off quite a few this season. Especially if we get a true coverage safety behind them. Either Flowers or Jaylen should fit that "center-fielder" type role better than Warrior or Kelly.

Vols got no love from the media...

2019 Preseason All-SEC football team: Tua Tagovailoa highlights record 12 Alabama players selected

How is Thompson or Taylor not on that list? That's crazy. I would almost go out on a limb and say they each will be INT leaders of the conference but I know teams will wanna run on us first, pass second.

The orange stripe on the pants is not to be compared to the outrageous Oregon uniforms. It was still normal and traditional....just not plain. I love Tennessee orange. I like a Tennessee orange stripe. I'm beginning to question if some of y'all love TN enough lol.

yeah, believe warrior will be SS. Flowers FS. and you have options galore for Star....

i'm not concerned about our back 4. they aren't getting the recognition right now, and i understand why, but it's jut not a group i'm worried about. a little thin at CB specifically, but overall, i think that's as strong a group as our WR's.

I think JG with that Clemson team would have performed better than Bryant though, especially as a passer.
Let's flip this script.

Let's say JG was on that clemson team that went 12-2 with Bryant's stats (an entirely possible and highly probable situation). Now let's say JG transferred here.

What would be the prevailing VN theme this offseason? I promise you it would be different.

I’ve been around long enough to know we can’t count Vandy, Missouri or South Carolina as automatic wins.

Anyone acting any different is blowing smoke.
in fairness, you'd only have had to been around about 10 years for that to be the case. so, your average 4th grader should be biting his fingernails at the sight of our schedule.

:)

You can't count any game especially an SEC game as an automatic win. I thought people were just saying who they thought should win what games with the little information we have before fall practice starts.

How good of a chance does Miami have?

SIAP, UF is a 7 point favorite. This gives Miami a 30% chance to win.

Subjective opinion - Diaz is a hell of a defensive coach and had their D hummming last year. He was also left that kind of quiet consistency only only a guy like Richt can.

Compensating factors - will UF players get too big headed or be grounded? Will Diaz have his program UP for a huge 1st win?

I think it will be a battle.
