Weak AF argument. You can link just about any modern saying to something terrible. Plenty of Hitler and Stalin esqe lines out there in modern government. It is a fact that Ku Klux Klan rallies in the 60's that had been organized to rally against the integration of schools and the Civil Rights Bill, as well as the Voting Rights Act, were often promoted with slogans such as "America First" and "Protect the Future of America!" with their message centered around virulent patriotism and restrictive immigration. They claimed, just as Trump does, that anyone who disagreed with them was anti-American. If you choose to waste time watching that rally on Fox News tonight, take note of how many times that Trump will accuse a black person of hating America versus how many times he will make the same accusation against a white person... I'm betting that you will see a huge disparity. It's just a glorified Klan rally. Alas, I will not be watching... have fun.
I certainly don't agree with many of the viewpoints of the "Squad", and I don't think most Democrats do. Still, listening to Hitler like chants from his Republican base (that claim to be Christian) is chilling.
All this ugly may not hurt the Republican party, but I noticed during communion Sunday that the churchgoers are getting fewer and older.. I have no other explanation except that people who claim to love God are pushing good people away from the church by defending or staying silent.
I also agree with Burger (and the Pulitzer Prize winning NY time reporter who was interviewed last night) that Trump likes the Democrats to lose focus and become upset.
Like many of us who want this hate to end, I am looking at the field of Democrats and hoping someone has (among other things) solutions for the millions of people who work in the insurance industry when they scream "Medicare for all". Would also like to know how they plan to pay for all this free stuff besides mumbling about Wall street and Rich people. Biden is my guy right now-- Delaney and Bullock seem normal. Will see more during the debate.
I guess Ol' Al did not get the soft glove treatment he has grown to expect.Democrat who introduced articles of impeachment walks off CNN during live interview
Democratic Rep. Al Green abruptly left in the middle of a live interview on CNN Thursday, a day after he pushed for the vote to impeach President Trump. The House vote was 332-95 to table the impeachment resolution on Wednesday evening.
CNN's Kate Bolduan asked Green if he was playing into the president's hand because Trump mentioned it during his rally in North Carolina the day before calling it "a disgrace."
"The base is not the American people. The American people don’t want to tolerate bigotry. I just have faith in the American people and I will continue. We will March on until victory is won," he answered.
"The speaker and I have the same goal and that’s to do what’s in the best interests of our country. We have different paths but the same goal. I must tell you, I have a vote that’s on now and I must leave, so I do appreciate you very much, but I do have to run now. Thank you," the Texas Democrat said before leaving abruptly.
"Welcome to live television," Bolduan said while laughing.

She's a fine one to criticize anything.Hillary Clinton: Trump Rally Shows ‘Time has Come Again’ to Fight for Democracy
Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has joined the chorus of outraged Democrats ripping President Donald Trump’s Wednesday evening rally in Greenville, North Carolina, where he once re-upped his criticism of the far-left Democrat “Squad.”

“Democracy may be our birthright as Americans, but it’s not something we can ever take for granted. Every generation has to fight for it,” Clinton wrote on Twitter Thursday morning. “After last night’s Trump rally, it’s clearer than ever that the time has come again.”
