A photo has emerged that appears to show Ilhan Omar with both her first and second husbands, after Donald Trump hinted she married her brother.

Trump caused uproar yesterday when he repeated an accusation that the Democrat Congresswoman's second marriage was to her sibling.

The controversial photo first appeared on a Somali forum in 2016 that made the claim that she was in a fraternal marriage. It was taken in London according to the Instagram caption.

The post says: 'He (Omar's second husband) arrived in the United States in 2008. As soon as Ilhan Omar married him he started university at her alma mater North Dakota State University where he graduated in 2012.

'Shortly thereafter he moved to Minneapolis where he was living in a public housing complex and later evicted. He then returned to the United Kingdom where he now lives.'

Today Omar's second husband Ahmed Nur Said Elmi posted a picture soaking up the view at sunny Nyali Beach Resort in Mombasa Kenya.

He is at the center of the explosive rumor of bigamy and inter-familial marriage which Omar has called an Islamophobic slur.

'I'm not legally married to two people, but I am legally married to one and culturally married to another.' That's how Ilhan Omar's campaign spokesman Ben Goldfarb summarized Omar's conjugal arrangements in an email in August 2016, when Omar was running for Congress and her advisers were trying to stifle allegations of double marriage — with a man alleged to be her brother.

Omar supplied this email to the Minnesota Campaign and Public Disclosure Board's investigation into her campaign financing. That investigation concluded on June 6 by ordering Omar to refund $3,500 in misused campaign funds, and to pay a $500 fine. It also revealed that in 2014 and 2015, Omar may have broken federal and state law by filing a joint tax return with her husband Ahmed Abdisalan Hirsi — when she was married to another man.

When conservative journalists in Minnesota raised the bigamy allegations in 2016, Omar issued a statement calling the allegations 'baseless, absurd rumors' and issued a statement accusing the journalists of 'Islamophobia'. Her statement was taken verbatim from Goldfarb's email. That same email appears to admit that the allegations are not without basis. Goldfarb describes how he tried to construct a denial based on 'real background information', but found it 'impossible':

Democrats Admit to CNN’s Tapper: ‘The President Won This One’ — ‘Squad’ Hurting the Party

“The president won this one,” said an unnamed Democrat politician of President Donald Trump’s “showdown” with the Democrat “Squad” of Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), and Rashia Tlaib (D-MI), according to claims made by CNN’s Jake Tapper on Wednesday.

Trump’s implicit criticisms of Omar — describing the Somali immigrant-turned-politician as an America-hating antisemite — triggered a broad partisan Democrat coalescence around her and other “Justice Democrats” in the aforementioned squad. High unfavorability ratings among Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, Pressley, and Tlaib amounted to a political win for Trump, according to Tapper’s claims.

Trump also highlighted Ocasio-Cortez’s support for blocking a now-defunct Amazon proposal to build headquarters in New York City, NY.

Tapper took to Twitter to make his claims about discussions with four Democrat politicians he says spoke with him on condition of anonymity:
