Dem-led House formally condemns Trump remarks deemed 'racist,' after dramatic floor fight over Pelosi
I notice that 4 Republicans voted in favor of it... Good for them, that is 4 more than I expected.I guess Trump will be sent to his room w/no supper tonight.

It doesn't appear that even the one black Republican member of the United States Senate is thrilled with Trump right now:
"Instead of sharing how the Democratic Party's far-left, pro-socialist policies - not to mention the hateful language some of their members have used towards law enforcement and Jews - are wrong for the future of our nation, the President interjected with unacceptable personal attacks and racially offensive language. No matter our political disagreements, aiming for the lowest common denominator will only divide our country further." - Senator Tim Scott (Republican - South Carolina)
****************
Now, clearly, Senator Tim Scott has a bigger problem with Democrats than he does with Trump, but judging from the above quote, does it sound like he is a supporter of Trump for any other reason than the fact that Trump calls himself a Republican? To answer your question, the blacks who support Trump are not racists themselves, but they do think that Trump is a racist in many cases (such as is the case with Senator Tim Scott)... They just choose to overlook it, because they would support a Republican President no matter who he was.
Not exactly a spring chicken- I'll be 65 soon. And I did watch that show a time or two as a youngster; would have recognized Chuck Connor if you'd used a Rifleman pic but I just didn't cotton onto ole Rowdy lol.

Marianne Williamson asked white people to apologize to black audience members on speaking tour for slavery, lynchings, other issues
Spiritual guru and 2020 Democratic hopeful Marianne Williamson asked white members of her audience at an event last July to apologize to black people also in attendance for slavery, lynching, police brutality and other issues.
According to the Houston Chronicle, Williamson opened a stop of her "Love America" tour by asking all white people in the audience to stand up during an opening prayer.
She then asked them to hold hands with black members of the audience nearby, and start by saying "I apologize."
"With nearly 200 black people in the audience on their feet, Williamson apologized for slavery, lynching, murders, rapes of black women, destruction of the black family, mass incarceration of black men, being called the N-word and systemic and institutionalized racism and more," the Houston Chronicle's Joy Sewing wrote at the time.
And, based on video from other times, it seems as though Williamson asked audiences at other events to make similar apologies.
She also wrote a poem in 2016, titled "Prayer of Apology to African Americans."

Kara Young on dating Trump in the 90's. “I never heard him say a disparaging comment towards any race of people.”

It has nothing to do with anything here ... but I was just on Twitter and it was announced that "Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens has died".... and some really dumb conservatives were excited with "Trump gets another pick!" ... of course, Stevens retired in 2010.
I just wanted to share my own story on what a bunch of scholars internet Republicans are and bring a little piece of happiness to your day. What a brain trust conservatives are. LOL!

Not at all, I vote for the Democratic candidate 99% of the time - hard to believe, I know. The only time I have ever voted for a Republican was Bob Corker over Harold Ford Jr. in the 2006 Tennessee Senate General Election. And I only did that because of the corruption in the Ford family.
I think Barack Obama was a great President and I'm proud of those 2 votes. I was just curious if the person who was accusing me of being a racist... which, by the way, nobody who actually knows my name has ever accused me of... had ever voted for anyone who wasn't white? I thought it was a reasonable question considering his accusation against me.
