For many years people have compared beef and bison, from fat content to the financial benefit to the native American, and bison wins every catagory hands down, except one. Taste. Some people prefer it, I think some of it is mental... because it's not as greasy, it's healthier, it's environmentally safer etc.. but I like beef better myself.

No doubt, bison is an excellent alternative.

My first two kids were picky (oldest went under the restaurant table when seeing lobster for the first time at age 2 1/2), and the third liked everything, asking for kalamari at age 4. We had to start buying more shrimp etc when cooking dinner, because she wanted some as well instead of her siblings' chicken turdettes (tenders). She was not as cheap a date as the other two!

All I can think of when confronted with octopus or squid is my mother's cat, now living with us, who stalks and slays my ponytail holders. Apparently she is thrilled by the bouncy-bouncy texture. gnawgnawgnawchewchewchewgnaw

I just don't have that adventurous a soul!

Whole Foods had ground bison on sale last week and I grabbed a pound. We made burgers last week. I thought they were great. Very lean.

Lulz, just realized Boca won't get that...haha, maybe nobody but Volly will.

Anywayzzzz, is this gonna turn to one of those things where some of us prefer beef so automatically that means bison sucks?
