Gillibrand says she has 'experienced enormous amounts of white privilege' and is 'certain' it gave her a boost in her career: 'I have benefited because of my whiteness'

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand says she has benefited from her 'whiteness,' including in her professional career.

Gillibrand said that 'as a white woman' she has 'certainly experienced enormous amounts of white privilege' as she spoke at presidential forum.

She spoke repeatedly of a black staffer who's her traveling companion on the campaign trail. She the aide is treated differently than she is at hotels and restaurants.

'There is a deference that is given to whiteness in society today. And, you see it all the time,' she told DailyMail.com after her remarks.

She said, 'I travel with a woman who's black, I watch how she's treated when we walk into a hotel room, into a hotel to check in. I watch how she's treated in a restaurant. I watch how whether the person who's taking her order listens to her order and gets it right.

'I've sat with black Americans, and they're literally not listened to,' she continued.

Gillibrand provided additional examples of how those around her have been discriminated against in a variety of circumstances and told DailyMail.com that she had 'absolutely' benefited from her whiteness in her career in a number of ways that she believes it's her responsibility as a senator and presidential candidate to rectify.

She should have no concerns in that regard, we don't listen to her either.

I really don’t get this , I’ve traveled all over this country , been in more hotels / motels and restaurants than I can even count and have never seen this . You are treated according to how you act in my experience , has nothing to do with skin color . Act a fool be treated as a fool , act like a person and get treated like a person . Where does she find all these businesses than are so racist ?

How many Nazi Generals did we allow to say they were just following orders?

Did the Allied Forces catch all of them alive? Pretty sure some died during the war, some committed suicide before capture and some fled to South America.

Superiors orders were actually part of the defense used by the 14 tried in the High Command case at Nuremberg. American officials eventually consented to parole and clemency programs for all of the convicted officers, so that by the late 1950s not one remained imprisoned.

The Leftists are OBSESSED with RACE and Identity politics. There is a race among the Leftist democrats to see who can be the biggest fool.

Darned Allied Forces and their denazification of Germany after the war.

Guess that's where the Yankees messed up in not finishing the desouththernfication attempted during restoration.

But bonus points are awarded for recently taking that cause back up and trying it once again.

I'm sure she travels incognito and nobody knows she's a senator ... uh huh. None of her staff call up and make reservations without throwing in the word "senator" or making sure charges go to her office. You just know VIP isn't stamped all over her reservation.

The New Republic removes 'inappropriate and invasive' Pete Buttigieg op-ed written by openly gay man who made salacious speculations about 'Mary Pete' as a 15-year-old teen interested in a 50-year-old man

The New Republic removed an 'inappropriate and invasive' op-ed written by an openly gay author about presidential nominee Pete Buttigieg that repeatedly referred to him as 'Mary Pete.'

The left-leaning outlet published an opinion piece by Dale Peck that was filled with petty-antics and offensive jabs directed at the presidential hopeful.

Peck, who received a Lambda Literary Award for his 2009 novel 'Sprout,' repeatedly called the politician 'Mary Pete' in the perplexing and homophobic op-ed called 'My Mayor Pete Problem.'

In an excerpt shared to Twitter, Peck writes that Buttigieg's sexuality is the only thing distinguishing him from the other white-male candidates in the election.

He even goes as far as to assume the sexual position Buttigieg takes in his relationship.

Peck calls Buttigieg a '15-year-old boy in Chicago' who is trying to determine if he should go home with a 50-year-old man, as a means of making fun of how 'new' he feels the politician is in coming out of the closet.

The rest of the segment slams Buttigieg as being naive and still inexperienced in his sexuality, before concluding that the Indiana politician's sexuality is all his focus.

'I want a man whose mind is on his job, not what could have been - or what he thinks he can still get away with,' Peck added.

Look let’s view this at face value. Why should he be in any way honored?

Treasonous General... his side lost so it is what it is
Founding member of KKK... his take back doesn’t change his involvement in their creation
Him leading troops that killed hundreds of POW’s

Why would you want to honor him? Bc he was brilliant tactican? Sherman was too and shouldn’t be honored.

It’s really not difficult.

And lastly:

If he were your relative would you celebrate that with family and friends? If so why? If not why?

I have a direct descendant who signed the confederate constitution. It’s not a moment of pride in the family .
