There's also a good argument that JG's skillset translates even better to the NFL than college. People criticize his lack of scrambling ability, but that's less important in the NFL. He has a strong arm, he's tough, he doesn't make big mistakes, and he's very accurate.

At a minimum, I think he'd make an excellent backup QB at the NFL level. If he has a big season, people might even start talking about him as a potential starter.

On of the reasons, I don’t go to the FF much anymore. Too many threads that were either dedicated to what kind of quarterback JG is or turned into it. Both sides, never budging and always posting the same in every thread, every single time.

The days of players only declaring with eligibility left if they have stellar seasons is gone. Long gone.

If JG thinks he has even an outside chance of making a practice squad somewhere he will declare. It's just the trend these days. Look back at Tyler Bray for an example.

And let's not kid ourselves. If he doesn't show NFL potential in his third full year as the starter, he's probably not all the sudden going to get it in the 4th. I'm sure he's aware of that.

If that was the deciding factor, he would have committed already. He seems to really prefer playing for CJP and CJC but believe distance is what's kept him from committing to TN. If Harrison was the reason he chooses A'M, then his decision would have been made weeks ago.

That says a lot more about a player’s lack of intelligence than anything else. Another year of experience as a starting QB in an SEC program with a solid coaching staff can absolutely make a difference.

No...I'm pretty sure it was me that started the noodle arm thing in extreme sarcasm. The idiot that kept saying Maurer had a weak arm is on ignore, but that guy was a pure dumbass. He kept saying Maurer had a weak arm even after his E11 performance...
