Dealt with it in my family. I underwent a DNA test and have the gene for late onset as well. Recent studies show that reducing carbs and sugars also reduce the chances of developing it.
Yep.

Yep. Your body is either a sugar/carbs burner or a fat burner. Same thing goes for your brain. What happens with Alzheimer’s is that your brain starts to lose the ability to process glucose and your cognitive abilities start to diminish eventually reaching the point where you can’t remember things. I try cycling on and off of a keto diet and try my best to avoid all desserts.

VN is like a big family supporting each other. We’ve seen it time and time again, but the unseen is how when someone shares their experiences, this gives encouragement to others going through similar experiences.

I didn’t get a chance to share earlier, but my grandfather passed away a little over a week ago. In the meantime, I have seen others going through loss as well. Loss of a loved one (fur babies included) is never easy, but to see other people walking the same road makes you feel less lonely while you’re on that road. It also encourages me to keep helping those around me who may be more affected and to hold on tighter to those I love so dearly.

For all going through loss, pain, and suffering: His mercies are new every morning.
Very sorry about your grandfather. Prayers for you and your family. Thank you for the great words in your post.

So then no one should’ve been hard on Holly for her team not playing hard, right?
Are you saying the only thing wrong with Holly's teams were they didn't play hard? That's not true. Plus he was talking about individual effort there. The thing that made Pruitt furious last year was there were some giving their all while some were giving next to nothing because they knew there was no one to replace them with. That's why he said he would bring in some that would.

Got whipped by Brady who Belickick lucked into. He’s a good coach but he sure as hell doesn’t get 5 rings without the GOAT

And if the clippers win a championship he will have helped build 3 different west coast teams into champions.

And this exemplifies how tough it is for a small market team in the NBA. While West did win executive of the year with the Grizzlies, he wasn’t able to attract big free agents. Yet he did at the other 3 big markets.

Diet and exercise. If do both every day, you will/can live a healthy life. If you don't, thinks will get very bad I am 80 years oldand I do 3.4 miles/hour on the treadmill three time a week, workout at the wellness center an hour three times a week and play golf 2 times a week. I weight the same as I did when I was a Freshman at Tennessee, I have a 59 pulse rate, and my blood pressure was 116/62 last week. If you work at it , it will work for you. If you don't, things can get very bad quickly. Good luck
Impressive.

I've heard Alzheimer's refered to diabetes of the brain.

I mean golden state was awful before he got there and the clippers were one of the worst franchises in sports before he got there. Have they ever landed a big time free agent. They may be in a big market but they were never a big market team.

5 freaking seconds, lmao. You called it. He talked so much **** before the fight and then gets knocked out in the fastest UFC fight ever. Was at a friend's house watching. Hysterical!
You can talk trash in the UFC but there are some you just don’t direct that smack talk towards, Masivdal is at the top of that list.

While GS wasn’t winning yet, they had already drafted Steph. He’s only been with the Clippers for 2 years. They had solid years with Blake and Chris Paul.

GS did it more with drafting, but small market teams don’t have a chance. Paul George seems happy in OKC until Kawhi makes one call.

San Antonio didn’t seem to have a problem.

Small markets tend to have less room for error but let’s not act like they don’t have a chance. They just have to be well run organizations.

SA got the number one pick with David Robinson. Yes, they drafted well, but they still never signed a big free agent. It’s a different NBA though.

I can’t disagree much with what you said, but small markets have a very little chance of high level success and sustaining it.

Edit: also, even though it’s comparative to other cities, being from Texas, it’s hard for me to view SA as truly small market.

A lot of in between there. His defense just gave up THREE points vs the Rams in the SB. Yes any championship team needs a QB, but the Pats have beem all around good under BB. Best developers in the game.

Ehh, but even after Robinson SA has been a juggernaut because they draft exceptionally well (Duncan, Kawhi, Parker, Ginobili, etc) and have a great culture/system in the building.

You have to draft well and then build a culture that makes your stars not want to jump ship.

I get what you’re saying about not really being able to attract big FAs but the key to the last few champs has been drafts/trades.

True but I thought that was an all time bad performance from the entire rams offense. From QB to coach.

BB maybe would have won 1 SB without Brady but he was pretty mediocre and maybe even kind of bad until Brady took over. Jimmies and Joes mean more than Xs and Os
