All-Star years

Horace Grant 1994
Charles Oakley 1994
Bill Cartwright 1980
B.J. Armstrong 1994
Dennis Rodman 1990, 1992
Robert Parish 1981-87, 1990, 1991

Combined years as All-Stars playing on Jordan teams: 0.

So, technically accurate.

To be fair the screenshot says "All Stars played with" not "People who won All Stars while playing with"

If anything the argument could be made it shows LeBron's ability to elevate his teammates. I don't know what they original point was to the meme or whatever just pointed out that MJ did actually play with other All Stars besides Pippen. I still say MJ is a better player, but it's subjective of course.

I forgot a few names...

While with Wizards:
Richard Hamilton
Christian Laettner
Jerry Stackhouse

They don't count either though I don't guess, since they didn't make the All Star game in the same season they played with MJ.

"Jimmy Holiday has stayed in frequent contact with Tennessee since getting a scholarship offer from the Vols more than two months ago. His story is actually pretty interesting and the 6' 5" 265 lb junior has an entertaining story on how he earned his offer. He ran into Tee Martin and Jim Chaney one night in an old Mississippi ghost town where they were finishing what Pizza Hut calls the "Diabetes Developer." It was then he pulled up his HUDL film & while Tee was mid bite he forced his highlights into his gaze, to which Tee grabbed the phone out of his hands but because his fingers were so greasy he dropped it into a vat of marinara sauce. Jim Chaney did his best to catch it before it fell but he was wedged in between his seat & the table, unable to move. Anyway, after retrieving the phone from its dipping sauce prison Tee said "Hey Jimmy, come to Tennessee and play for me." to which Mr. Holiday reportedly replied, "ok."

$9.99 please!

Irving, Wade, Bosh, Love, and Ilgauskas all made All Star games with and without Lebron. All of them in years before playing with Lebron as well.

*shrug* ya'll getting awful uppity about your MJ & LeBron debating.

This is again the point that things are subjective. You say "Played with" but people then want to discredit guys because they weren't real contributors at the time? Parish wasn't himself obviously we all know that, did he play with MJ or didn't he?

Don't complicated it over some irrational feels or anything.

I really don't care. I am in the MJ generation, but eras change so much that it's always tough to compare. I appreciated your research because it got me to look into it further as well. I agreed that the first list needed to be clarified, but there were reasons why it was listed the way it was.

The problem today is that many people don't do their research. They just spout off numbers or lists without looking into why they are the way they are.

Serious question. Let’s just say they don’t give recruits bags of money.

What is it that UGA offers to get pretty much anybody they want. I can understand Bama. I can understand Clemson. I’ve heard multiple recruits say essentially they can win a championship at UGA. Is all this from 2 years ago when the appeared in the NC game when they had 2 1st round RB’s? Other than that was are they selling?

Same thing as LSU, a lotta talent in state and both are the elite schools in the state.

Some kids legit want their friends & family to see them play and want to stay close to home. The perk for talent rich states is that makes recruiting those players as easy as making an offer.

Yep. We have always been at a geographical disadvantage compared to most top tier schools.

I understand from a local perspective kids wanting to go to UGA. I meant more at a national level. Right now they have 2 out of the top 20 in GA committed. Even if they pull Gilbert and Tank that’s only 4 out of 20. They are in on so many national top rated recruits. Just wondered what the allure is.
