2020 Presidential Race

Really >>> why care what Carter says. What we really need is an investigation into why didn't Obama protect us from the Russian hacking that was going on >>> it was on Obama's watch he let that happen not anyone else.
Besides, if Carter was awake from his coma, he would know that there was an investigation which has taken place already and Trump was found to have nothing to do w/the Russians on the election's outcome......Hillary & the DNC did all the corruption politics in trying to rig a presidential political win.

Kamala Harris backtracks AGAIN and insists she doesn't favor eliminating all private health insurance despite raising her hand in debate to agree she wanted to 'abolish' it

  • Harris has flipped and flopped on the question of whether a 'Medicare For All' socialized health care scheme would require ending private insurance
  • During Thursday night's debate she raised her hand along with Bernie Sanders to signify that she would 'abolish' private policies
  • By Friday morning Harris was insisting that's not what she meant, saying she thought she was asked about terminating her own personal insurance policy
  • Harris has had to walk back the same mistake before, after saying in January that it was time to 'move on' from private insurance providers
  • She claimed four months later that she only meant to suggest Americans should jettison the bureaucracy, not the industry

Hours after emerging as a major force in the Democratic presidential primary by savaging Joe Biden, Kamala Harris played clean-up Friday by insisting she doesn't want to 'abolish' private medical insurance.

The California senator raised her hand during Thursday's debate, along with Vermont Democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, signifying she would be willing to do away with private health care plans in favor of a government-run monopoly.

By Friday morning, however, she was insisting she misheard the question.

Scarborough: ‘Last Night Was a Disaster for the Democratic Party’

Friday at the top of his show, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough called the second round of Democratic debates that aired on his network a night earlier a “disaster” for the Democratic Party.

“You know this is one of those moments where I have to figure out if whether I’m nice or whether I do what I’m getting paid to do,” he said. “And I guess since I want to keep getting paid, I’m going to do, with apologies to our friends here and watching, what I get paid to do. Last night was a disaster for the Democratic Party. My only hope is people were not watching, and I will tell you why.”

“Let’s talk about the goal that every Democrat believes: We have to beat Donald Trump,” he added. “So, they’re lined up in trench warfare ready to get out of the trenches, charge and fight Donald Trump. Instead, they turn their guns and shoot each other.”

Scarborough lamented the notion that for some, this could be their introductions to the Democratic field, which portrayed a message of disunity and strayed from the objective of defeating Trump. He also warned that the consensus on immigration among Democratic Party candidates on immigration was out of the mainstream and could cost Democrats votes in a 2020 head-to-head match-up against Trump.

Not a Harris fan by any stretch of the imagination, but the 1969 school year would have been the city of Berkeley's 2ND year of bussing and Harris would have probably been in kindergarten or maybe even 1st grade that year with her 20 October 1964 birth date.

Really???? Who The f*** cares??? Who had the stupid job counting all the words that each candidate spoke.

It's interesting because it tells me that Chuck Todd likes to hear himself talk more than the actual candidates which should tell you something about these left wing moderators.

I was bussed. 6 different schools in 6 years without moving.

I was bussed. 6 different schools in 6 years without moving.

I rode my bike to school when I was in elementary school growing up. As I got older, I drove a car when I was in high school. The only time I rode a buss was when I went downtown to the city library. Were your schools so far away from your house that was the case in you riding those buses?

Gabbard on Dem Debate: Lack of Minutes, Treatment by MSNBC Moderators ‘Shows a Clear Bias in Place’

Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), a candidate for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, acknowledged there was a bias she was up against from the moderators in the debate she participated in on MSNBC a night earlier.

“It shows there is a clear bias in place,” Gabbard said. “I made the most of every minute that I had. I wish I had more time to address these important issues.”

The Hawaii Democrat said it was a false choice to say not using military force or sanctions was akin to isolationism, meaning the United States was not “engaged” in the world.

My Tennessee school had already desegregated back then and most of the black kids lived in town near the school and walked or were dropped off by parents. It was only us white, farm country, kids on the buses back then. I went to the same school all 12 years, on the same bus route, and never did have a black kid ride that bus.

Round Two of Democrat Debates Has Same Qualifications; Random Selection

Democrats complaining of the unwieldy debate process for the first round of debates face the same qualification rules for round two in July.

“This was absolutely freaking terrifying,” moderator Rachel Maddow said on MSNBC after the debate. “As you know, moderating the debate is hard. Moderating a 10-way debate two nights in a row is not a thing humans can do and we should never try it again.”

The second debate night was more chaotic, as lower-tier candidates repeatedly interrupted and tried to wrestle with moderators for more camera time.

The Washington Post counted 53 instances of candidates interrupting each other on Thursday and 30 interruptions on Wednesday.

CNN will host the second debates in July, which will take place over two nights, and the DNC is expected to again pick at random who ends up on stage, despite the controversial nature of the first round of debates.

My elementary school 1st - 5th was within walking distance. Bussing in Nashville started the year I entered 6th grade. I was on the bus about 40 minutes each way my 6th grade year. Start and end times had to be adjusted citywide because of the shortage of busses. 7th, 8th, and 9th grades I was bussed (zoned) to schools that were closer but certainly not walking distance. (5+ miles). 10th grade I was back to the nearest high school and finished there.
