2020 Presidential Race

Reading through this thread and seeing the comments about the democratic candidates is hysterical.
Trump was the most laughed at, despised, misguided, divisive, joke of a candidate in modern day history........and he won.
It's almost as if those are positive qualities for a candidate, or at least for repubs.
And the key statement is he won. What does that say about Hillary?

Every candidate has flaws. What's that term you guys like to use? Whataboutism? If people are discussing the flaws of these candidates and you keep going "but Trump", isn't that the game you're playing? Plenty of Trump bashing threads already. Why not actually discuss the flaws of the Dem nominees? Too sensitive a subject for you?

All of these candidates were "low energy". They need to up their maniacal rambling game, and realize that facts don't matter.

I think they already know facts don't matter. Case in point, the Native American candidate, Elizabeth Warren.

Yes, but to appeal to Trump voters, they need to take it to the "thousands of Muslims in New Jersey cheering the WTC falling" level.

It's strange that you feel the need to trash Trump rather than defend a Dem candidate. Are you afraid to discuss the candidates themselves? I know Trump is a douche. You don't have to prove that point to me. Can you point out how any of the Dem candidates are actually better?

I'd be interested in knowing which candidates the liberal posters support and why.

It says very little about Hillary.
What does it say about the 16 other repubs. he beat out?
It actually says more about the state of a subgroup of the American voting public than anything else.
I'm sure all of those candidates from last night have flaws, but I didn't watch a minute of the debate. (I was watching Vandy win the national championship)

At this point, I've yet to see a candidate worth voting for, and yes, that includes Trump.

Do you already know who you'll vote for in the primaries? If so, who and why?

Not trying to bait you.

It says a lot about Hillary but, like many Dems, you fail to see the disconnect your party has with much of the public. People are tired of the same old ****. So what does the left do, they continue with the same old ****. Don't get me wrong, Trump is pretty much the same old **** as well, but he presented as something different in the election. That was his appeal.

It's sad this has to be asked and even worse the answer is still no. The bar is super low and they are still falling down
There are no good candidates. JMO, but too much dedication to party ideology and not enough dedication to the country itself. But as long as the two parties refuse to work together, does it really matter who is President?

Can you blame them? You have seen their field, no one in their right mind would support those loons

I do not know who I will vote for in the primaries.
I'm looking for a candidate that will:
Beat Trump
Focus on the environment and move us in the correct direction.
Address healthcare and move us in the correct direction.
Support abortion.
Address the gun nonsense.
Support public education.
Address the student loan crisis.
Address the inequities in the current tax system.
Regain America's global stature.
Bring dignity back to the office.
Appeal to hope, intellect, compassion, and reason instead of fear, anger, ignorance, greed, and hatred.

Any of the 20 are far superior to Trump.

To be fair, I'm not sure how anyone in their right mind thinks Trump should be President either. JMO, but the office of the President deserves better than those who have been in it since 1992. And it seems that trend will continue.

Oh, you mean giving an example of how Trump uses epic lies to create a base of gullable voters, is trashing.

Most of the debate glitched out on my streaming service. But my impression was that the moderate tones were easy on my ears. Too many in the field to get a good feel, honestly. I was digging Delaney and the girl that looks like a Marvel character.
