We finally starting to get some talent in here and actual high competition between teammates. King gets in here it is going to be really interesting as both HB and King push each other for the starting job. Along of course with all the QB's. We haven't had this kind of team competition in a long time.

Oh man, how much time do you have? It's mostly about the world's most powerful mutant, who has another mutant who was banished to the astral plane by Professor X, embedded in his head for 33 years, which makes him think he is insane. The rest is well, some of the most amazing television ever created.

Okay, that sounds pretty legit.

Yeah, not since 2014.

I'm down for some elite, iron-sharpening-iron competition. The last few years it was more like

I think the plan was 2 QBs in this class when HB committed, I think Pruitt has never told him any different and I'm sure Chaney & Weinke didn't either. If the kid wants to be a top level SEC QB then competition will be the name of the game, yearly even. As coaches I'd point to ever example of top tier programs & QBs. Hurts at Bama, Bryant at Clemson, etc. and I'd say if you want to prepare yourself for the NFL you going through competition in college at a top level conference like the SEC will do it for you better than transferring down or switching to a less competitive roster.

Also I think having 2 top tier QBs helps the rest of the recruiting especially for WR/TE, you want to know the "next man up" is also a big time QB talent. I think it adds value when young players see the shelves are stocked at every level cause you don't know if that #1 QB will be the guy throwing you the ball or not with injuries and transfers as well as leaving for the draft, so it's important to have at least 1 top QB in every class I think, and having 2 helps even more.

If a 4* QB wants in you take him. No questions. Not like we are going to say “I’m sorry really talented QB but we have a verbal agreement that could change at any time with another really talented guy”.

My post above was about half joking. Half because well...you know, the past 13-14 years and all.

Or Plavsic.
I think he has a better case because he can sell that he’s coming home and that the reason he went to Arizona State (the coach who spoke his language and whom he felt comfortable with) left.

Not sure Solomon or Gibbs ever had a good “personal” case. We all just hoped the NCAA would push them through anyway.

My opinion, anyone that has asked for a transfer this year should get it. Especially since they let the two qb's transfer to Ohio state and Miami. The new guidelines should start next year.

That'd be too much like right. If they're (twice!) denying the kid who wants to play at Illinois for his dying grandpa, you can kiss any sense of morality goodbye.

I'm sure that they will not retroactively apply said rules. Solomon and Gibbs have already filed their paperwork. I am sure that that will be going forward. It is needed, there is a lot of kids hopping around.
I was going to say, most of the time when a new rule is enacted the cases before it was enacted aren't affected by it.

Him and the kid that wanted to transfer to Virginia Tech, because of his mother with the brain tumor. The NCAA made bad judgements on allowing Tate Martell to transfer and they opened pandoras box and now they are hurting the kids that actually need to transfer.
