What's going on with LSU? I can't find anything online. Is this just rumors or is something really going on?

A booster is accused of stealing $550,000 from a foundation that he worked with and the money trail leads to him giving $180,000 to an LSU’s players father. He also gave money to Rohan Davey, but that is not an NCAA violation. The NCAA is now investigating.

In Fulmer’s presentation (to I think it was the board) that was posted earlier this week he said in regards to recruiting that last year we got 5 guys that everyone wanted and this year we need to get 10. By the way, whoever his sidekick was that he kept deferring to to discuss the details in the numbers, that was similar to the role that I had on project teams when I worked in industry.

Back to this post, there’s a lot of attrition in classes 4 and 5 years back so I’ve only listed the last 3 classes (during which time both UGA and UF have already lost the headliner to at least one of those classes).

Stargazers get a lot of grief at times and probably rightfully so but the fact is stars do matter, at least to some extent. I’ve said before I only want guys who have a composite of 0.9500 or above. It doesn’t really matter what the number is because it’s really I think what Fulmer was saying. If we’re getting the guys that everyone wants then we’re getting the guys that give us the best chance to compete with anybody.

I think the problem with some stargazers is the incessant whining and a lot of times at times when the whining is particularly in poor taste. Everybody wants the best of the blue chips but for a variety of reasons that’s not an easy feat to pull off. You win some you lose some and clearly the better you do on the field and on draft day, among other things, the increased likelihood of increasing success in attracting more highly fought over prized recruits.

In the meantime you pretty much have to do the best you can and the whining and negativity is counterproductive. It’s a form of self-indulgence I think. People need attention. Everybody wants the best recruits but most fans, or at least many, know winning those recruiting battles, while inseparably tied to the trajectory of our performance against our schedule, is not a foregone conclusion.

We as a program have a lot to offer, facilities, a lot of good coaches, and I think now a good athletic director, and we are committed to rebuilding our football team into one which will be able to compete with anybody. It may take a while or it may happen sooner than we think. Pruitt said in his introductory press conference that we have to worry about the guys we do get not the ones we don’t. I think it would be most helpful on the part of our fanbase if we could remember those words and conduct ourselves accordingly as we press forward with this new effort at rebuilding our roster.

Don’t let anyone kid you. Probably almost everyone here is a stargazer. The real difference is that some know how to behave positively and some don’t. jmo.

This chart doesn't include attrition or transfers. It's from the classes that are tracked by 247 for the respective years. (We may actually have 37 blue chips on our roster for this year, most of who are likely to be significant contributors).

Any mechanics in here?

I got a front driver wheel hub that feels a little loose. Makes a clicking sound and slightly moves up and down. Is this easy to fix? Am I dumb to drive on it within city roads? Trying to make sure I dont go in and 'all of a sudden' my "wheel bearings are all messed up and all four need to be changed at the same time or I will blow up and be not Lt Dan but kinda Lt Dan"

My left rear was doing the same. Some bearings were bad (or something like that). Paid someone to fix it. Was a quick fix and wasn’t terribly expensive - so far as car repairs go.

Some cookout notes from Simonton...
While Rakim Jarrett was the last arrival, all five of Tennessee’s OVs (Jarrett, Toll, Holmes, Leonard and Morris) attended the cookout.

Was told Morris spent a long time with Will Friend and host Jahmir Johnson, as well as in-state guys like Cooper Mays, Tee Hodge, Tyler Baron and others.

It was big to get Hodge and his family back on campus for the second time in a week. Tennessee starting to make a move there.

Harrison Bailey is staying in town for the weekend to throw for the staff and continue recruiting/hanging out with Jarrett.

It was noted yesterday that BJ Ojulari (dad’s birthday) and Jacolbe Cowan (family funeral) were unable to attend. Same for Jay Hardy and Octavious Oxendine.

They've known about it for over a year but had to wait for the foundation investigation to close.

This is the weirdest recruiting cycle for UT football I’ve witnessed. Just kinda feels like we are stuck in mud lol....we make some progress with a guy then he no shows us, get a guy on campus with his family and we can’t close the deal. Just all around odd

Wheel bearings cost about 125-150 per wheel and about 75 for labor. It sounds like wheel bearing. How many miles on car?

Its an easy fix....dont pay a mechanic to do it....its a basic fix....but I will say go ahead and replace both the front ones because more than likely the other one will not be far behind in going bad.

What kind of vehicle? If it was me personally I would just replace the entire hub.

I changed both front hubs on my 03 Ford F-350 in 7 -8 hours. I used Warn hubs. I recommend them.B8A95461-1118-484C-B876-6F0624A7B1E0.jpeg
