They will be an enigma, but I'd be shocked if they aren't a fundamentally sound, strong team. Shoop and their HC are really good coordinators too. Should be a pretty even match.

Idk Butch won 6 reg season games in Y2, recruited well, and fans were estatic. As long as recruiting keeps going well I think we'll be fine. Shoot, the younger fans will be happy just to see us in a bowl.

The fans expect more from this staff than they did from Butch. Also, factor in five years more of mediocrity, and that wears the patience even thinner.

True, but these are all things they can control using willpower. That's on them. No need to blame Pruitt for unreasonable expectations after he has been here for not even 24 months. This is a big time staff, people need to freakin let them work!!

I think he's saying that the players left behind had been developed whereas the players butch left received no development at all.

I agree for the most part. There's not many people add patient as you seem to be.

I'm not sure expecting 8-9 wins this year is really fair to Pruitt or our staff. IMO our main expectation for this year should be to be competitive in all or most of our games. We lost 5 games by 26 points or more in 2018. Going 6-6 but having all or mostly 1-2 score losses may be the kind of progress we have to live with in 2019.

I'm predicting 8, but I won't be disappointed with 7, unless one of the five losses is too Vandy. 6 will likely discourage me, depending on what our recruiting class looks like.
