Their price point sucks, to be honest. They are only a smidge better than something like Wendy's but much more expensive. It seems like every Five Guys burger I get is just doused in ketchup. If I'm gonna pay $6 and change for a single burger, I might as well pony up an extra $3 and get an actual badass burger from a local place.

Speaking of local, Bang Bang Burger in Charlotte is probably my top burger spot at the moment.
There is a local meat and 3 in Lebanon called Sunset that is family owned that has been in business for over 40 years that also serves a good cheeseburger called the Nokes cheeseburger that is very good.

I'm still salty that 5 Guys and their overrated Wendy's-esque burger rolled into Murfreesboro and dethroned Buster's Place as best burger in town. Probably always will be tbh.

As a former resident of Dandridge.... I hope you mean in distance and not in standard.
I was joking with @InVOLuntary but I think I know what he meant.
When talking about things that take place in your area, you gotta account for spillover.

Newport etc.. earned their reputation, no denying that. People shooting up entire bars before it ever started making news in places like Miami.
Chopping people up and spreading them in multiple dumpsters. Hits on police officers and later, half the sheriff's dept. being arrested. And that's barely skimming the surface.

Some posters have noted that class recruiting rankings are based on the total number of commits and specialists can skew the rankings, particularly the averages. I understand that but at the end of the cycle the specialists don’t really have much impact on the class score because 247 adjusts the contribution of each commit every time a new commit is added until the class is complete and by that time the lowest rated guy just doesn’t make much difference in the total or even the averages. I think 247, rivals, and ESPN, in their evaluation and ranking schemes, might not have much respect for how much the kicking phase of the game can impact the final outcome. jmo.

I’ve often thought there ought to be a certain number of each position group identified as the best in that group and while that is the case for most position groups, specialists are rarely, if ever, rated by the big three as blue chips. Kohl’s Kicking and Rubio Long Snapping are two of the leading outfits that rate specialists. Kicking Kids and long snappers travel all over the country to participate in these evaluation camps. Cimaglia was a 5-star kicker, 6th best in the country, and a 4.5-star punter. Brooks was a 5-star punter , ranked 2nd in the nation, and a 4.5-star kicker. Doyle was a 5-star punter, 6th best in the country, and a 4-star kicker. Lovingood was the 10th best long snapper in the class of 2015. Jake Yelich was the 13th best long snapper in the class of 2016. Will Albright is the No.1 Long Snapper in the class of 2020 out of 286 guys ranked. LSU got the top guy last year.

Statistically, for everyone else, about 60% of 5-star recruits turn out to be legitimate NFL draft prospects, around 25% of 4-star recruits, 6% of 3-star recruits, and 1% of 2-stars and unranked. The blue chip ratio is considered by many to be a good indicator of talent comparison between various teams. It doesn’t address experience or coaching, only talent.

With that in mind, and not adjusting for specialists, this is the way the blue chip ratios currently stack up for where we are at the present moment in the 2020 recruiting cycle for SEC teams. It’s only June.

With well over 200 undervalued prospects each class, makes me appreciate the camp offers even more.

We're NOT gonna straight out star the NC teams, so I'm really interested in this staff's strategy. Get the blue chips that you can but instead of filling up with the gradually declining rankings, search out those overlooked. I like it, no point in just following the pack if you can't ever pass them.

It's gonna kill stargazers but at least we've got an actual plan. Now, let's see how good this staff is at executing.

That shooter is already dead. No way he shoots a living legend from the home country and lives to tell the tale. Cops are gonna say he "tripped and fell" repeatedly while they were taking him in.

I read where the bar patrons got to him first, and the cops can’t interrogate him until he heals.

Been in church my whole life - never heard of “grave soaking” let alone someone preaching it. Not about to Google it.

I have been a Methodist outside Memphis (I hit two topics) for 35 years and never heard of some of the things that were discussed yesterday. One of the songs that was linked gets sung at our “contemporary” service every once in a while, but I know nothing about her or her background. We listen to the music for our 4 young kids.

On the subject of the LS and our recruiting average....

I think we should go ahead and give the LS a git shirt an go with a walk-on long snapper. Recruiting class rankings are much more important than actually playing the game. Who needs to punt or kick field goals anyway? We will be so good on offense we will also go for 2 after each TD.

maybe that will separate the fake fans from the real fans.

I like camp offers but often wonder how thorough the evaluation can be. We offer a WR, he signs, then at the first practice we find out he can’t turn left when running routes. “Sorry Coach”

Or maybe he’s a Seventh Day Adventist. “Coach, I’m still holding out hope for a Thursday game in 2022.”
They aren’t going to risk their jobs by not having a thorough camp experience

Haha, I had to give you and the post above you, a "like".
There's been a couple over the years that convinced me that they were more interested in bragging rights for final rankings, than the fb games. They would happily ditch kickers, positions of need or great players if it meant a higher final ranking.

Or completely flip their take on a commit if he received a bump. That's crazy.

would you accept one million dollars if it was all in ones and completely covered in poop?

Yes. I've washed plenty of money on accident. I could totally do it on purpose to be a millionaire. Also assuming it's the full million, not a "lottery winning" type million where the gubment takes nearly half of it before the bills dry.

TL:dnr - If all goes well and everyone on the roster (including Anthony Harris) is healthy and eligible this is what our blue chip ratio looks like by position group based on the summer roster posted at UTSports.

Worst (or at least less favorable) case situational scenario for our offensive line this year:

I don’t think the freshmen tackles have a choice. They’ve got to get up to speed and be as ready as possible for game 1. They’ll have 3 non-conference games to take their lumps and improve before we head to the swamp. In this scenario we assume Trey Smith is not cleared to play this year and that Brandon Kennedy is not fully recovered from his 2018 ACL injury. That gives us Morris at left tackle with Jahmir Johnson backing him up while starting at left guard. The utility guy on the line this year coming out of the spring was thought to be Carvin. If Morris goes out, Jahmir slides out to left tackle and Carvin comes in at left guard. Ryan Johnson would start at center with Carvin backing him up. Carvin could start at right guard but the buzz in the spring was that Calbert, now fully healthy for the first time in his career, was doing well there. At right tackle we have Wright with Niehaus backing him up. That gives us a 7 man rotation and doesn’t include Tatum or Locklear which could get us to a 9 man rotation. Even without Trey and Brandon, I think with the added talent at the tackles and the added experience and offseason work by the interior guys, the offensive line play will likely improve by a decent measure this year. There were periods last year where they did a decent job but overall the consistency was missing from one game to the next. We were in a new system and over the course of the year our lack of depth and development really showed as the starting guys would get banged up. I don’t think there’s any question that we would have an even better offensive line if Trey Smith in particular is healthy and cleared to play. Brandon Kennedy, as a minimum, gives us added depth to the most cerebral position on the line at center. I think the absence of Richmond’s leadership may be another factor that allows the offensive line to move together in a more positive direction with Friend & Chaney’s coaching this year. jmo.

Worst (or at least less favorable) case situational scenario for our defensive line this year:

Aside from Gooden the most important player on the defensive line this year may be Savion Williams. If he fails to live up to expectations we don’t really have many options to compensate. In this scenario we assume Aubrey Solomon is not granted his waiver to play this year. We need Williams to come in in the mode of Gooden from last year, ready to contribute right off the bat. The third guy up front will likely be Butler. Ideally, Middleton would compete for that spot but I haven’t gotten the sense that anyone is really expecting that. The backups on the defensive line will likely be Mincey, Kingston Harris, and Emerson, all really young guys. Bumphus made some noise in the spring and given that he is a year older that could be helpful. I think he may have surprised the coaches a bit because he actually got their attention when he was moved back over to the defensive side of the ball. ESPN had him rated as a 4-star athlete out of high school, rivals had him as a 4-star WDE, and 247 had him as a 3-star WDE. Butler was another guy the recruiting services couldn’t reach a consensus on. Rivals had him as a high 3-star SDE, ESPN had him as a 3-star defensive tackle, and 247 had him as a 0.9100 4-star SDE. Emerson was viewed by all 3 as a really impressive talent for the defensive line and then his injury at the opening knocked him out of his senior year in high school and he redshirted last year. ESPN had him as a 4-star defensive tackle, rivals had him as a 6.0 4-star SDE, and 247 had him as a 0.9500 4-star SDE. His name began to pop up some in this year’s spring practice reports so hopefully he’s working his way back into form. We really need him to continue to progress. He’s obviously still young but I’ve been thinking he may be our best candidate as the defensive line’s utility player this year. Rocker and Ansley really have their work cut out for them this year in their effort to try to field an SEC quality defensive line. It’s not impossible but with the lack of elite talent I think it’s probably an uphill climb. jmo.

Regardless of how all this shakes out I think this could be a really fun year and the reason is I think we're going to see a lot more of our guys "playing the right way" in Pruitt's 2nd year, with discipline and attitude, especially in the trenches. jmo.

Does give new meaning to "money laundering"
