Very glad for her and her specific case, but overarching research does not show any success for faith healing. Of course, as long as best medicine practices are used in conjunction, maybe there's no harm in it. Unfortunately some reject all medicine and therapy and will only attempt faith healing. Much worse when they force their children down this path, much to their harm.

I suspect if there was something to this, then people would flock there in droves and be healed in droves. It would be revolutionary. Have not heard of any such thing. It would be the ultimate cure for cancer and everything else. Why would anyone send themselves through radiation therapy for thousands and tens of thousands of dollars, when they could be healed like this? And if someone wanted money for performing these rituals, then surely they would be out there doing this as well, backed by research and major health organizations everywhere.

Again, I don't really care about any of this and it's probably benign for many. But anecdotal cases of freak happenings are a world away from being evidence of something working over a large set of people/instances. Shoot, I wish it were true and repeatable. That would be amazing for all of mankind.

I am a Christian, and I am not disputing what you're saying here ; however, I believe these types of testimonials drive more people away from the church than get them to come. JMO
