Back home near Jacksonville in school. Idk wtf im doing with my life lmao
I have a question in all seriousness, were u as negative about the future of ur band and music as u are on here or is that just a Vol thing?
I'm not being a smartazz here I'm really curious. I truly hope it's just a schtick for Vol Nation..

It really is. If you look at contemporary worship songs now and then look through a book of hymns, the differences are...noticeable. To say the least. Sounding like they were written by children is an excellent description.
Contemporary appeals to the emotions. Hymns appeal to the mind. People are different in which way gets to their heart. But the vast majority of contemporary is really juvenile. Then occasionally a song like "He Is" by Chris Tomlin will be realeased. Still I prefer hymns being sung by an entire congregation. That appeals to my mind and emotions and gets to my heart to worship.

The Rivals guy backed off his commitment announcement this weekend. Seems like it’s a silent. I’m still rolling with King. He will take those two more OV and then announce to us that last week of June.

Has Youtube purged a bunch of videos?

The other day I tried to find some old early 2000s Antonio Bryant highlights (there used to be a ton you YT where he routinely abused Fred Smoot of the Redskins) and found nothing. And I just tried searching for Larry Allen highlights and there was only two - one being his HOF induction speech.

I know the NFL is really particular about their stuff, so it wouldn't surprise me if they got some taken down for copyright stuff.

I should clarify. I meant Bible reading, doctrinally sound Christians. Scripturally based theology not feelings theology.

I don't disagree with the sentiment, but the whole "Bible reading, doctrinally sound" thing must have been real tough for most of Christian history where the majority of people didn't own a Bible and couldn't read it if they did.

I sort of like Angel Armies by Chris and Alive by Hillsong Young and Free but my all time favorite in the contemporary genre is probably Angels watching over me by Amy Grant. I still get an adrenaline rush when "the chains that bound the man of God just opened up and fell and running to his people before the break of day...."

Of course my all time favorite song period is Händel's Messiah - Hallelujah but since that was composed in 1741 I'm unsure if it qualifies as contemporary.

Sure it was. It’s why the Catholic Church reigned for so long. Then the printing press comes along, people start reading it for themselves, and they collectively say, “Hey, wait a sec.”

That’s why it’s so surprising to see these almost cult like groups gain strong footholds in Christianity. People aren’t reading their Bibles anymore, they’re content with someone just preaching the pseudo word.
