The Atlanta Braves

Pick: C Shea Langeliers, Baylor

A broken hamate bone in his left hand threw a wrench into Langeliers' draft season. When healthy, he showed a nice right-handed swing with power potential, and he is arguably the best defensive catcher in Division I. The injury lowered his draft stock and makes him a potential steal. Langeliers would be the clear cut No. 1 catcher in most non-Rutschman draft classes

If he is good enough to blow right by Willie-C, why do you not like the pick?

Willie C is rocking a .700 OPS in A+. He's good but he's not a world beater.

You don't spend a top ten pick on a catcher if you don't expect him to be the guy. He's amazing defensively, but I'm just not sure of the bat.

If he's that good defensively, I could live with so-so bat. Especially after watching Flowers the past few years.

Cool. They were saying the bat is projected to really come around as he has improved every year, I hope that is the case.
