'20 GA QB Harrison Bailey (UT SIGNEE)

An easy way to hide one's dissatisfaction or anger of potentially losing Bailey -

Post something about melting down or the old "we will be ok"

You guys are upset just like everyone else
I don't do freakouts and such, just not wired that way. But yeah, when you add everything in with the timing, concern or at least curiosity, is a reasonable reaction.
As Ron suggested, there's precedent and I'd be fos or all hyped up on sunshine juice to ignore that.
But there's also nothing to justify anyone going meltdown mode either.

Would be fantastic to end up with both, but really are we in bad shape with either? They're both good.

Huh? Not at all. What in my post suggested that? I hope they both sign with UT. I'd rather we sign 3 over just 1.
Really pushing the “he gone” stuff and the Ron Swanson we know would sooner serve tofurkey on Thanksgiving than disparage VQ.

Not pushing anything. I just happened to check his twitter account earlier in the day and again last night and noticed the changes he made with my own eyes. Recruits typically don't do that without a reason. And it's no secret for members of VQ, like yourself, that the mods are "tagged" all the time and sometimes go days without answering.

You were doing schtick or genuinely arguing with anybody not bowing to TWITTER SCIENCE. It’s why I’m on record that you go with one face of the program level QB per class. Two cancel each other out as the focus. Other skill position players...hell even OL, have to wonder which one to envision playing with. Back when Manning and Stewart were on board, other players barely knew who else was committed. Doesn’t work nowadays.

Nope, I wasn't doing schtick or arguing at all. Just pointing out what I saw. Too early in the morning to be arguing with you butchna. Have a great day!

I really hope he is as committed as he says he is. But, I think most on VN are smart enough to know that nothing is set in stone until the ink dries on the NLI. Even then, the transfer portal is close by.
Bailey has a chance to be the most beloved player since......well.....PM. Come to Knoxville Harrison and don't worry about any other QB's.

there's no way Bailey doesn't know this staff's intentions regrding how they want to construct this class, including taking another QB. i would be absolutely shocked if they told him he was the only one they were going after, at any point, during his recruitment.

i agree w/ @Ron Swanson, it's worth noticing cause, well, it's noticeable, but it would make absolutely no sense to crap on this kid. would do a ton of damage to this class and future classes when recruiting those kinds of players. this staff's whole reputation has been built on being 'straight' w/everyone.

so until i find out otherwise, i'm going to say there's probably not much here to worry about.

Atta boy—keep kicking this program when it’s down. I’d expect nothing less from a sidewalk alumnus.

Pretty much agree.
No matter how mature though, I think that's just an 18 year old's way of saying "Hey, don't forget, busting my butt over here"

Harrison’s response- “What!? I am all Vol. I am just bored and wanted a different look on my page. I have a big season coming up this year and am totally focused on that! #GBO”
Due respect, what else would he say? He’s not going to say he is butthurt over it. He isn’t taking that down of all things just bc he is bored. But, he’s just a typical QB of today, don’t think he’s a baby as someone said, the QB wants to be THE guy. Bold move by Pruitt, I’ll say that. Surely he told Bailey beforehand, if not, then you have trouble. Bailey is the biggest recruiter for the class and you don’t want to do anything to slow that down.

I think he just reacted like most kids do today, Pruitt just needs to get him on campus to smooth it over.

that's why i just can't believe this is brand new information to Bailey. if it is, then that's a HUGE mistake. i don't think it's the case though...would make zero sense given what this staff has built it's rep on from a recruiting standpoint.

Thats sort of the elephant in the room so to speak. If the staff didnt at least let him know they were lookng at more QBs until Haynes popped up then. Yes its a huge mistake. But if Bailey knew there was the possibility of another QB being recruited and is acting like a diva, then thats a bad look for him.

I think this situation is just a case of overreacting and misinterpretation of social media.
