Williamsburg? Manhattan?

Our neighbors just moved back here to Asheville and now only pay about $1,600/mo for their loft. WERE paying 5k in the middle of Manhattan, right next to the freedom tower. I still can't fathom paying 5k a month in rent, but that is normal for many folks. Even my sister pays 3500 in LA. Guess they make more in those areas too though and are high-desirability areas.

Hmm definitely not West Knox and 90% of the rest is terrible (some of the outer county areas are sort of peaceful and nice). But the rest is cheap because nobody would pay to live there.
