I think so. She was a principal for four years and left the position for a central-level job (and hated it). Whenever we'd see a teacher that had worked for her, they'd beg her to come back and told her that if she ever got another principal position they'd do anything possible to get to her school.
The most amazing thing to me is that she handles discipline quick and decisively. She follows all the formal steps (verbal warning, written warning, corrective action plan, etc.) and, accordingly, when she has to "non-renew" a teacher they almost always accept it very well (they know that they didn't do what they needed to do to prevent it). Astonishingly, a pretty good number of them react to their non-renewals with apologies for not meeting her expectations and/or making the corrections that she laid out for them.
i tend to agree, but the big difference in the anxiety level is the ESD, and the recruiting calander being moved up. things supposedly should be happening faster/earlier, and are for some programs. hard to watch some of those guys do waht they're doing and still have so much unknown for us.I'd like to say that I've never seen so much turmoil over recruiting this early in the off season but, I've been on this board for over 10 years and lurked for years before that...
We do this every. damn. year.
Yeah, recruiting isn't going how we'd like it to at the moment.
It'll change.
Chill.
But y'all won't. It's ok. I've seen this movie before.
Now if this turns out to be the year that the consternation effects the results, won't you feel silly.I'd like to say that I've never seen so much turmoil over recruiting this early in the off season but, I've been on this board for over 10 years and lurked for years before that...

Maybe it’s just me but this is the least hyped I can recall feeling about a football season at 100 days out. Not saying I think we go 0-12. I do think we have a solid year. I just don’t feel much in the way of hype. My expectations are modest, and the preseason buzz is commiserate with those expectations.
...i keep hoping that means this will be a shock the world year...
Let’s just say 901 doesn’t have the best track record for recognizing assistant coach talents.. here’s his first thread he ever made lmao (talking about Helton)
If he’s doubting them, put all your chips in on the opposite being true
The only thing I refrained from saying was "it's just May"....i tend to agree, but the big difference in the anxiety level is the ESD, and the recruiting calander being moved up. things supposedly should be happening faster/earlier, and are for some programs. hard to watch some of those guys do waht they're doing and still have so much unknown for us.
but yeah, usually this type of anxiety didn't happen til well in to the summer/fall. now it's backed up to spring/summer and most programs/prospects will be wrapping a lot of the recruiting up by Fall.
anyway, your point is correct. it's May.

I don't buy that for a minute. He demoted one of his best friends from DC to LB coach to get Ansley. Helton would have been fired if he didn't find the WKU job. If Pruitt didn't want Weinke he wouldn't be here today.
Edit: Oh and he offered Terry Fair a demotion to an off the field role. Terry left instead.
This is where I like David Johnson, he's a excellent teacher/coach which is why every single WR improved last year. Same with Rocker, great coach. Just feel you have to surround those guys with elite recruiters and Pruitt did that with Tee & Ansley. He knew exactly what needed to happen.I’m saying weinke was exploring options and trying to find a bigger role he couldn’t find it.
He settled on being moved here to QBs here. It’s obvious he wasn’t happy coaching RBs which probably explains why i they were really sloppy last year especially in pass protection.
Also, sherrar had never even been a full time DC before so let’s not act like he was demoting Brent venables or something. On top of the fact that as long as Pruitt is the head coach the defensive game plan is going to start with him so it’s always going to be his whether he calls plays or not or who has the DC title.
I am a Fulton High alum in Knoxville. They recruit like crazy. All the good teams in Knox County cheat. Maryville and Alcoa are really good at it.
