Hello Braves fans. If you are interested, I am a longstanding Giants fan willing to give a primer on my team before the start of the 4 game series tonight.
Late night
1st pitch for the first 3 games is 9:45 for us on the East Coast. A rough way to live for all us East Coasters to be sure, but, at least, getaway day is a day game. Means watching baseball during work, nice!
GIANTS:
Strengths: defense and bullpen pitching. Comeback ability with hitting.
Weaknesses: Starting pitching, overall hitting.
1st inning has been trouble for the Giants, so much so I expect it now. At one point they were outscored close to 45 runs against to 5 they had scored. Cue Charles Barkley turible gif.
Since the start of May they have hit much better and have mostly ranked as an "above average offensive team." I can say they are much improved offensively from earlier this year, but probably still a below average team on the hitting side.
See them again?
Giants are 20-25 and if they have any hopes of competing this year need to make a run with a string of home games and some weak road games. Unlikely, in my opinion as they don't have enough starting pitching to seemingly do much. So they will likely be sellers of their stealler bullpen to needy teams. Know anybody like that?
I don't mean to be a bother. Rival fans can be troublesome... and I certainly don't mean to be.
To a good series...
