It's all in the tape. If you think JG is the 2nd best QB in the SEC then get your head checked.
Let's see what JG does when he actually has to pass the ball more than once every three plays.
For someone that has done absolutely nothing as a player, JG sure has a lot of fan boys.
JG go to any school he would have been benched by now..JG benefited on not having no QB depth thats why played this long..He hold the ball to long..We been saying this for years about JG..When is he going to get better at getting rid of it? JG is not the answer..
if he did indeed SAY that JG would go in the second round, WHY would I have asked him if he thought he would? You butted into something that you clearly don't understand. FAIL....Completely dishonest. He never said, not once, that JG would go in the second round like you’re insinuating now. He compared a handful of JG’s stats to those of Lock’s, who just got drafted in the second round, to prove/suggest that JG isn’t as awful as so many like you on here say. You surely knew that.
Well...he'll probably keep up his 7.8 YPA, 4:1 TD/int ratio, over 140 QBR, etc. These are efficiencies and tend to stay consistent with fewer or more attempts. The only thing that will change are his total stats, which will oddly change the opinions of the simpletons that still look at box score stats. But if we threw more, our offense overall would be better. Hmm 7.8 YPA or 3.7 YPC? Tough choice. It's all in the tape. If you think JG is the 2nd best QB in the SEC then get your head checked.

Yea, we've heard from you and at least a half a hunnert more time and time again. Fact is he's gonna get another chance under yet another OC and this one is arguably one of the best in the business.
Really at this point, it doesn't even matter what he's "done", all that matters now is what hes doing and what he does. What you think or believe has Zero effect.
Hey, thanks for your opinion though!
JG is the answer. Yeah, so while Brandon has been passed up and recruited over and no better than 4th or 5th on the WR depth chart, JG will be our starting QB, playing every game, completing 65-70% of his passes.JG go to any school he would have been benched by now..JG benefited on not having no QB depth thats why played this long..He hold the ball to long..We been saying this for years about JG..When is he going to get better at getting rid of it? Truth hurts Uncle Greazy.
To totally disregard YAC is dumb. I get that YAC can skew the numbers, but throwing a ball perfectly on the money is often what yields YACThis was brought from the article by another poster. Not my answer, just what they said.
On every play, a PFF analyst will grade each player on a scale of -2 to +2 according to what he did on the play.
PERFORMANCE VS PRODUCTION
We aren’t grading players based on the yardage they rack up or the stats they collect. Statistics can be indicative of performance but don’t tell the whole story and can often lie badly. Quarterbacks can throw the ball straight to defenders but if the ball is dropped, you won't see it on the stat sheet
Conversely, they can dump the ball off on a sequence of screen passes and end up with a gaudy looking stat line if those skill position players do enough work after the catch.
PFF grades the play, not its result, so the quarterback that throws the ball to defenders will be downgraded whether the defender catches the ball to notch the interception on the stat sheet or not. No amount of broken tackles and yards after the catch from a bubble screen will earn a quarterback a better grade, even though his passing stats may be getting padded.
Yep. Pruitt and Helton just aren't as smart as you. Knowing that JG and the OL could handle a more pass heavy O... they just chose a losing strategy because they're stupid.Much depends on if Chaney sacks up and throws the ball, which is our best chance of winning, or keeps mindlessly pounding the rock like Helton did.
I like Brandon... and certainly respect him more than most here. But Jennings is a warrior... not just a fan favorite. He's the guy I want in a fox hole with me. He's by far the best at making the tough catch in traffic and light years ahead of the rest in physical blocking.I dont make excuses for him..Due to Jennings being back on team it pretty much pushed him to the side..Jennings a fan favorite he beat the Gators and he caught the Hail Mary..Brandon never stood a chance last season..Dont sleep on him this season..
No, he’s been asking for it. He’s all in his feels and taking out his anger for Brandon no longer playing much on JG. Trust is, while Brandon was pretty good and was actually JG’s go-to WR in 2017, he regressed last year and, as a result, lost a starting spot and playing time. But rather than Greazy putting the blame where it belongs with his nephew, he’s taking shots at another player. He needs to man up and be honest about it rather than blaming somebody else for Brandon’s rough year/demotion.Alright. No need to shiz on B Johnson either. He's been here all the way trying his best. He never had elite raw talent, but he's still fighting and hasn't portaled while getting buried on the depth chart, when many would. VFL in my book. And who knows, maybe he still has a breakout senior season still in store.

2018 YPA - 7.9
2018 YPC - 3.7
A WHOPPING 4.2 YPP difference. Either we pass more or we will struggle to score again. Gotta rely on what works, not just what you want to do philosophically. I trust Chaney will do what's best and not get ran over by Pruitt like Helton did.
Marginal at best. Both staffs gave him low risk responsibilities. They probably hoped and expected him to improve faster.JG is the answer. He's shown continuous improvement from season to season.
Nope. You badly exaggerate the play of the Center... but it is OK to throw Johnson under the bus, right? He's not a real Vol is he? His stats aren't "incredible" at all. If he could simply make good pre-snap reads and hit quick timing patterns... he would have doubled his yardage and made the O much better.Considering the O line he's playing under, especially with the Center getting blown up on nearly every other down, the stats JG has put up are pretty incredible.
If the OL had a guy who could read D's and get the ball off like Ainge did the year Cut made Lucas Taylor a 1000 yard receiver.... you'd change yours. If he had a decent O line, you would change your tune.
