A couple months ago, I posted in the Mad thread about my shed being broken into. Soon after, I found some early warning devices online that use a trip wire to trigger a blank 12 gauge shotgun round and installed them in some appropriate locations.

One of those I installed in my tool shed and gave HBPW hands-on instructions on how to disarm it prior to entry. She forgot.

Yesterday, I called her during a break and she is half-heartedly laughing. She said the good news is I got some weed eating done. The bad news is I'm deaf in one ear and pissed my pants (figuratively).

She said if she hadn't have immediately walked over to the window the dogs would have been in the yard with her. They thought someone had hurt momma and there was about to be a blood letting.
